Constant Problems

We bought this ice machine 5 years ago and have had nothing but problems. It loses temp regularly, causing all the ice to melt slightly and then re-freeze into one solid mass. If we don't use a lot of ice in a week, then we basically have to dump the bin every week as it has turned into an unusable solid block. Plus side it is quiet, but impossible to use as I need to defrost monthly as it turns into a block of ice that can not be scooped and the ice maker freezes up and needs to be thawed.

you get what you pay for

This ice machine has to be defrosted at least once per month. When it does work properly the ice is cloudy at best and hard to scoop.

Finally, a quiet ice maker!

This is our 2nd ice maker, with the first being a different brand and very expensive. Granted it made fancy “clear ice”, but…. The machine was always running water to make that ice and therefore, it was too loud for a bar that is near a bedroom. Guests would ask “how do you turn that off?” It finally died, which prompted us to look for something else. Terrible

This ice maker is quite loud when producing ice, and the ice cubes tend to quickly freeze together into a solid block. Additionally, the unit itself freezes over weekly, forcing us to thaw the entire system—an annoying and messy process. If you're looking for an ice maker that functions reliably, this one may not be the best choice. However, if you don't mind frequent cleaning and maintenance of a costly appliance, it might suit your needs.

Too expensive to only use for 2 years and one month. Calling the repair guy, again.

So Far So Good

Obviously, there are a lot of terrible reviews on this ice maker so I'm holding my final opinion for a while but so far so good. I got the 5-yr warranty in hopes of avoiding some of the issues in the reviews. The ice maker arrived yesterday. Was beat up a little. Front vent panel was bent a little but not egregiously. The rear vent was worse but no one will see it and also the bottom FRAME somehow got bent. I say somehow but the packing is very poor. Very thin foam padding and the cardboard box...

Waste of Money

Ice freezes into large block - unit started leaking...Is unplugged and useless. Is there a part that can be replaced to solve this issue? Extremely expensive to have issues after a short period of time.

2nd Time Purchase, broke within 22 months

Unfortunately, we have a custom built in and this unit is the only one that will fit. Worked until the same internal ice buildup killed it. Ends up being like a subscription at $50 per month

Total junk, save yourself the anxiety

Could be the worst appliance purchase I have ever made. Never worked correctly in the 12 months we had it. Edge star sent 3 replacements, all 3 were damaged upon arrival. Final gave up swapped parts from all three to get it looking and functioning. Total junk don't do it. Can’t believe Lowe's carries it.
