As a Dewalt user the DP611 router has problems. In one 10 month span I have gone through (3-)three, routers. Either bad lower spindle bearings and or bearings and brushes. Dewalt/Lowes, have been very good about replacing the router but and its a BIG BUT, these routers are a replacement for the same model that I had owned for (6) six years before. It makes me sad. I just got tired off struggling with that small on and off switch while wearing gloves and also not that easy without gloves that I just switched to another router.

Great compact router, like the adjustable speed setting so I don't burn my projects.

Smooth operation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No complaints. Very quiet and smooth operation. Depth is great. Clear bottom bracket makes it super easy to see where my bit is at all times. Chews through hardwood with ease.

Exactly as Described

It is amazing, we needed a sander and this product sands. I am kinda disappointed it would not cut the wood, but it sanded the crap out that wood, smooth as a sanded piece of wood.

It cleared the dirt from the viewing area

Nice router but...

This is a really nice router. I purchased my first one several years ago and use it daily. It cut through everything just fine until I started working on a piece of Red Oak when it died. I purchased my second one in July 2023. This one burnt out on the same Red Oak Project. I will try to exchange it or send it to Dewalt for repairs. base plate for a template guide is an extra!

I use both the corded and battery powered. DCW600 routers, they are great tools! I was so disappointed when I found that neither router had a base plate I could use my router template guide with, but for an extra ten day wait low and behold I was able to obtain one, plus an extra charge! Why can't the base plate be made to accept a template guide, am I the only one that uses them?

Truth about this product

I have now purchased (4) of them and everyone has burns up or stopped working. Really sad they haven’t removed this from stores
