problematic

Used it once and the nut that holds the grinder blade on got stuck and i couldnt get it off to change it. You tubed some videos and tried some different methods. Couldnt do it. Had to return it. Liwes was cool about it though and refunded me. Gonna with with a different brand next time.

Excellent grinder

This is my favorite grinder. It has great power. I also like the constant on switch this model provides vs the paddle switch. Truly my favorite grinder. My only complaint is the three year warranty as another big company provides a 5year warranty.

Not all parts were included...

I purchased this grinder along with a 4-pack of DeWalt discs, opened the grinder box, read the instructions and only then was able to determine that it requires a certain type of disc guard (Type 1) NOT INCLUDED WITH THE UNIT to use standard metal cut-off wheel discs. The grinder comes only with a Type 27 guard, for grinding metal. Lowe's apparently doesn't carry Type 1 guards for this grinder, to get one costs about $12 to $30 depending on where you buy it. So to get full use of this grinder...

I need a versatile grinder cutter

Made this purchase to replace a unit I owned and worked to death for some twenty-five years. DeWalt has the best versatility for the kind of work I get into in small places. So I chose this for my cutting and grinding. First job it was put to the test with a diamond cut saw to smooth edges of a tile lineand grind back the old mortar. And followed up with cutting bolts flush to the existing floor with a 6" metal cutting disc. The removable guard is perfect to do the trick.

Powerful but can't seem to find the proper guard

I've used this a lot. It's powerful and works great. But I can't seem to find the proper guard for enclosing cut-off wheels. So, I still use it with em, but am nervous as heck. This is a safety issue and Dewalt should be be making it stupid easy to find and get the right guard. Just a matter of time before something bad happens.

Good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this with a DW010 Dust collector and DWE46125 grinder shroud. As a remodeler we constantly have to cut into plaster and drywall. The dust issue is obvious. Had tried another brands grinders with dust shrouds but we could never solve the vacumn hose issues. Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the grinder 2 months ago to replace another brand that had problems, I have loved the switch to yellow. I use mine for tile and love it.

Unable to use it

I bought this tool to cut small metal pieces....only to find it had no shroud for that. Then I ordered a Type 1 guard, specifically referencing the model type....only to get a guard that did not fit. I called DeWALT to find out where I could get the right one....and didn't get a reply. I used to have a good experience with this brand, but things have changed.

Easy operation

I have had this awhile now and it just keeps working.

Not USA MADE

I ordered this one bc it was advertised MADE IN USA . It took me 1/2 hour in line to pick it up. Went home checked it, tune out it made in China,very disappointed Dsnny

Wonderful tool

It is my secound purchase about this Angle Grinder. It works perfect, small, easy to handle , If you need to do heavy duty , definitely you have to buy it. 12000 RPM. Relation benefit/cost is perfect. I use it for cutting tile .
