Cuts steel real good

Bought to drill into a trailer. Hard steel was no problem.

They did the job.

We had to drill out a exhaust stud on a turbo charger. We basically ruined most of the drill bits getting a hole drilled through the broken stud and enlarging the hole big enough to use a nut and bolt in it’s place. I think it’s a good value for the money. Kobalt drill bits work the best in my opinion. I primarily use for metal projects.

barely good for one use

Used them to drill out a sheered bolt, the ones I used turned into one time use bits

Worth the money

These cut metal like it was butter. And more than once.....unlike the harbor freight drill bits which are garbage.

I needed a set like this for a while. Works great on wood. Looking forward to trying it out on metals.

Making a hole

From what I can tell so far I will say that the cobalt twist drill bit is an excellent tool. I have only used two of the bits and I was able to drill through aluminum with no problems.

These cobalt twist drill bits are an excellent tool for cutting through hardened steel. It makes quick work of an activity that dulls other bits. Worth the price.

Tough bits for drilling hardened steel.

I am replacing a set of these that I have had for 16 years. There are no permanent drill bits. These stay on center when drilling hardened steel and do not dull easily. In case you didn't know, Cobalt added to the composition keeps the bit from dulling easily as it heats up. Like they do when drilling hardened steel. The machinists I have worked with referenced this quality as "red hardness". If you are drilling wood or softer materials, less expensive drills will do a fine job. Keep these stash...

DeWalt disappointment

These bits do not even bore through a soft bolt. What a let down by DeWalt.

Eat through metal

These cobalt bits were exactly what I needed when recently working on my friends cars exhaust system. They bite right into the metal and cutting was a breeze in comparison to my titanium set.
