What Customers Are Saying
The DeWalt router is a powerful and versatile tool that performs well on a variety of materials. Customers praise its smooth operation and useful features like variable speed control, dual collet sizes, and spindle lock. However, some users have experienced issues with the collet slipping, depth adjustment mechanism binding, and plunge base maneuverability. There are also reports of motor failures and missing parts. Overall, the router is considered a good value, especially for hobbyists and DIYers, but the quality control and design could be improved to address the recurring problems.

Very good router!!!
Would RecommendI purchased this router because of the variable speed control and because of the two size collects (1/4 in and 1/2 in). Would RecommendNeeded a second router to do hand routing so I went looking don’t have a plunge so this one fit the bill a two in one. Work great and can use 1/2 and 1/4 bits.

Not very well thought out.
I really wanted to like this router, but so far it has been nothing but frustration. The sub-base for the plunge base is too small to accommodate many of my 1/4” bits. Fine, I can use the fixed base, but then you lose the dust extraction feature. I may be returning this and getting the Bosch kit.
