20v miter saw- do it!

Perfect for my loft building project. Love that this is on the 20v battery platform I already have; cordless makes it much more portable for various projects around the house!

nice saw

the saw won't run unless using a 5aHour battery or larger. The battery discharges quickly but works best with 60v 8ah battery or larger. Need to keep one on the charger. Only issue is the guide fence kicking up when the wood hangs on the blade. Heavy saw and well built. Very happy with DeWalt products.

Worked for the first project!

XR compound slide mitre

This has all the power you need to do basic cuts on framing lumber but is most well suited for trim boards such as crown molding and base/casing.

Great saw.

Works great when you're working outside. You don't have to worry about running an extension cord to wherever you're working, and then tripping over it. The 12 inch blade works great on larger boards. It's not as loud while running as my older mider saw. I didn't have to charge the battery the entire time I was building a 8x6 foot ramp to my outside building.

I have only cut 2x4s with it but it has worked great.

Unfortunately disappointing

I’m so disappointed in Lowe’s. I bought a floor model saw at the suggestion of an employee. He said if anything was wrong with it I could return it. When I got it home and learned it was faulty - won’t run, parts missing - I tried to return for exchange and was told I couldn’t because it was sold “as-is”. It was NOT marked as-is. Great saw started using it straight out of the box. Stuck a battery in it and went to work cutting trim. I do suggest having a 6 or 8 hour battery to power it.

I own a residential remodeling business and bought this saw to use for larger trim jobs, I was pleasantly surprised how much power this saw had, and how many cuts I was able to make with one 5ah battery. Cuts from the factory were square and true. My only complaint would be that the saw is a bit heavy(50lbs+), for daily use without having the rolling stand, however not heavy enough to take away from the overall rating for this product. Great saw

I originally purchased this saw for those jobs were power isn’t readily available. I was originally looking at the 60v saw but caught this one on sale and am glad I did. This wasn’t going to be my primary saw on the job site however it quickly became the only saw I use. Battery efficiency is very good and it has plenty of power.

Fantastic features.

This saw has been incredible. Battery life is awesome using my 7.5 ah battery. Power is just as good as my 115 volt Dewalt 12" miter. Foot print is a bit large for setting on a work bench, but not a big deal for me as I use the foldable bench. Lots of feature with this saw. Amazing value for the money.

It comes with a full tank of gravity.

It's a workhorse and continues the long and storied history of saws that only need replacement because helpers destroy them while trying or avoiding moving them around. This saw is no lighter than a corded model but it is newer and new is better, right? The power link thingy would be dope if Lowes stocked the dust extractor, but alas, they can't take advantage of every dollar burning a hole in my pocket.
