Bought this for work on jobs that don’t have power, or power not close by. Great saw, and preformed work well. Light , balanced ,and the right brand.1998 trim saw 1/2 inch 18 volt was my first tools by dewalt. I still have them, and they still work. Construction work and metal fabrication work

I put it on a known flat surface, and there was a corner to corner wobble of about an eighth of an inch! I would have assumed that the base would have been machined true and flat. I returned that one, and bought another. It had the same problem. So I did some flat filing, and finish it off with some sanding. Now she's nice and stable.
