Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT XTREME 12-volt Max Variable Speed Brushless Cordless Reciprocating Saw (Battery Not Included)
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The product has a mixed performance. On the positive side, it is praised for its compact and lightweight design, making it easy to handle and use for small jobs. It is also considered powerful enough for tasks like cutting pipe, pruning trees, and installing cabinets. However, many customers report issues with the saw frequently cutting out or stopping, even with a fully charged battery. Some find it underpowered and unable to handle tougher materials without stalling. Overall, the saw seems suitable for light-duty, small-scale tasks, but may not be reliable or powerful enough for more demanding applications.

Not that xtreme
Would Not RecommendUsed only three times in a year for a light to medium duty and stopped working ( motor was shut and has to be replaced ).

Batteries last longer than many of other brands
Performance is better than I expected as with all the 12v Dewalt tools I own

Nice saw
Would RecommendLight weight and easy to use. If you are cutting down branches, be prepared with multiple batteries. Love that I can use several devices with the same few rechargables.

Xtra xtra
Would Not RecommendDon't bother unless you want to get more 12v stuff. I own 18v xrp for over 20 years. And have been slowly converting to the lighter 20v lithium. I went to buy this mini saw and saw it was another battery... ok. But to buy just this tool would have cost me around $400. This saw has no battery, to buy batteries alone no charger OR buy another drill I don't need another drill. So I bought another brand that had battery and charger with it for less than what I was more than willing to pay for this t...
Excellent Mini Sawzall
Would RecommendThe 12V DeWalt version of the Sawzall is super light and can be operated with 1 hand, although I use 2 to ensure a straight cut. I wish it would have come with a storage/carry bag.

Solid for what it is
Would RecommendThis little reciprocating saw is a nice unit. It may not have a ton of power, but it has all you can expect out of a 12v line. Battery life is good and the tool itself feels well made while being comfortable to use.
Compact saw
Would RecommendI liked the fact that this is a smaller size reciprocating saw that can be used in tighter areas that a full-size saw can't get in too.
