Would RecommendI watched a lot of reviews for the 899 against the M18 and Ryobi high torques. I am more of a Dewalt guy, I have XR 5Ah batteries, no M18s and only two small one+ ryobi batteries. If I already owned ryobi 6Ah High Performance batteries, I would have gone with ryobi high torque (lesser batteries produce less max torque 60a vs 80a). Same with M18. This is probably overkill for removing lug nuts; go with a mid-torque. But if you plan on removing axle nuts or pinion nuts, go with the high torque!
Best 1/2 inch Impact Driver offered by Dewalt
Would RecommendThis 1/2 inch impact driver from Dewalt is awesome. Even with the 4.0 amp battery that came with this kit was more than powerful enough to take off lug nut on a Chevy Tahoe, but it was powerful enough to tighten all the lug nuts on two tires that I changed. I would highly recommend this particular model of 1/2 inch impact driver over the medium torque and high torque impact that is offer by Dewalt just because of it's high torque breaking strength of 700lb of breaking torque.

The impact has a selector with 3 speeds/power.
Would RecommendSerious power in removing lug nuts and you don't have to drag a air hose around.

Made my other impacts obsolete
Would RecommendI have had my dewalt 1/2 impact for a year and it works great. I haven't used my air impact in my shop since I bought it. The power has been impressive being able to handle 60 year old rusted hardware.
