Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT XTREME 12-volt max Brushless 1/4-in Cordless Screwdriver (Battery Not Included and Charger Not Included)

excellent

Got this tool for smaller jobs and fasteners that I would frequently over torque with my 18v impact. Much smaller and lighter than my 18V with plenty of power.

Love this screwdriver it’s amazing great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw this product on instagram being used by @toolsbydesign and how the guy loved it and said I have to give it a try and got a good deal on it 100 dollars for a kit with a battery at Lowe’s and I fell in love so compact and lightweight fits in tight spaces nice power

Super Efficient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an Apprentice Mechanic and I got this as a budget version of the Snap On screwdriver my mentor has. Absolutely blows the Snap On one out of the water! Just as compact but holds a charge for longer, faster motor and a lot cheaper! The fact that the chuck is stationary when the trigger is not being pressed means you can turn it by hand to break screws loose easier. I use this every day and I'm in love!

Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 12v tools are surprisingly strong for the size that they are. The impact in particular is great for tight spots on automobile work & extremely handy in residential maintenance.

Compact gets the job done

I love this drill! I deliver and build furniture all day and needed a lightweight compact drill. This has met and exceeded all my expectations. The battery lasted 1 whole week of using it or up to 12 hours a day. The power is just as I expected and wanted for not stripping screws and bolts in customers furniture. I would highly recommend this drill for light every day jobs

Light Duty Use Only

Drilled a pilot hole with DeWALT DCD701 brushless cordless drill then used this to drive the wood screw. Would not loosen a tight deck screw - had to loosen by hand then use this to finish the job. Great tool for light duty use.

compact

love the size of this slip clutch dewalt drill had to buy one

Simplified repetitive tasks with fasteners

Definitely glad I finally bought this! Way more power than a handheld electric screwdriver, good battery life especially since it comes with two, the quick change collar makes jobs much simpler and it securely holds bits in place. Makes any repetitive task with fasteners less tiresome and the unit is light weight do it’s far less fatiguing over time, a big plus for someone with bad wrists and weakened grip strength.

Lightweight and impressive performance

I have always been a Craftsman tool user and this is my first Dewalt. I was also skeptical of the Lowe's associate because I am old school and grew up on real hardware stores and Sears & Roebuck... Once I picked up this lightweight unit in the store and tried it out, I was sold. I have since installed all of my gutter guards on a ranch home and didn't even have to change batteries, even though surprisingly there were 2 batteries in the box. This is my first written review of any product. That's ...

Great little drill

Great little drill for the price. Very handy, small and powerful for any small jobs.

Dewalt 12v Screwdriver

This is a nice powerful screwdriver... Highly recommended...

Wobbles quite a bit but its a good tool

I wanted a driver for low torque use like hanging stuff around the home and fixing door hinges, cabinets, etc. this 12V screwdriver is super lightweight and has enough torque to do everything I need around the house. It has 16 total clutch settings so you won’t have to worry about stripping anything out. I realy like this tool and find myself using it over my 20V drill/driver.

major improvement

I was looking for a smaller cordless drill. This 12v extreme has a lot of power for as small that it is. The light is very useful in darker places. With having a wood shop this little dynamite drill will fit in very nicely. It will be my go to drill.Fits the hand very well. I really love it and would recommend it.Great job Dewalt.

Exceptional design, quality, and usability

It's not common for a power tool to have every design feature being perfect. This DeWalt product is perfect: super light weight, quiet and smooth brushless motor, glove-fitting comfort for small hands, plenty variable speed and adjustable torque for light/medium duty tasks, super compact in a tough housing, excellent battery life with the new indicators on the battery, flexible 12v/20v fast charger, best of class shadow-free 3 LED lights with delay, one-hand operated ¼" chuck; even the small det...
