What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this hammer drill for exceptional power, reliability, and durability. The brushless motor delivers consistent torque under heavy use, handling 60-pound mortar mixes and large fasteners with ease. Many report the tool outlasts competitors on a single charge and continues performing like new after years of daily professional use. Users appreciate the ergonomic grip, LED light, and dual-battery support. A few note it runs slightly heavy, and one mentioned a minor chuck issue, but these are rare concerns. Would Not RecommendI purchased the exact same item shortly before this one. I returned it (as I am with this one) as soon as I received it, because it had the exact same problem of the DCD998 Hammer Drill having Hammer Drill Vibration for ALL settings. (For this type of Hammer Drill): I am used to Hammer Drill Vibration only on the Hammer Drill Setting. I am used to just drilling without Hammer Drill Vibration for all the other settings. I tested a DCD1007 Hammer Drill (that for me is basically a slightly smaller...

Power house drill
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have owned it for almost a year now. Never had any issues with it. Use a 6 ah battery or a 8 ah and this drill will plow through anything you put it up against. I also love the hammer function. Although I don't use it as often as the drill mode it works great when I need it. Better to have and not need them need and not have. DeWalt never seems to let me down. Mostly use for automotive work but also carpentry to. Only thing I dislike is every t...

Best Drill!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Dewalt for 20 years in the electrical trade. This hammer deill specifically is my favorite. The 3 speeds are amazing for masonry tapcon installation and or drilling holes in studs for residential wiring !!

Recommended based on light duty use
Would RecommendI was excited to get this inflator, it checked a lot of boxes such as ability to use it with a cigarette lighter or A/C power. It has Automatic shut off when set PSI is reached and it is portable. Being a DeWalt I fully expected it to be sturdy and robust. I returned it because while it did most of those things it just didn't impress. The build quality is not up to DeWalt standards. If you want the advertised A/C power ability you are forced to spend another $50 for an adapter that's not in...

Chuck Stuck Almost Immediately
The chuck stuck almost immediately after purchase. It seems like a good and powerful drill from what I got to use of it. Now I have to return/exchange it.

Best drill ever
Would RecommendLove this drill! I drilled a cinder block for 15 min with a regular drill to make one hole. The Dewalt on the hammer drill setting did it in 45 seconds. I maybe be switching to Dewalt after this expereince.

Quality Tool
Would RecommendI bought this just for miscellaneous work around the house, but this is clearly a quality, professional-grade tool. Very long battery life, and plenty of power. I suspect this drill will last me for the rest of my life.
