Stripped out. Declining quality in their tools

Worked great for about the a year, then the low speed gearing stripped out of it. Their quality is definitely declining from what we used to see from dewalt.

Can’t go wrong with this

Great drill and bag doesn’t take up too much space. Battery last a decent while before needed to charge. Always make sure to have this in my truck. Gets small and big jobs done.

Takes a beating

Works good. Used it for a few years in a metal dust and oil heavy environment and used a lot of break cleaner on it. Started smelling like burnt what using it but it still keeps working.

Comfortable and powerful

I bought this drill about a decade ago and have used it to build a large number of bookcases, cabinets, wall hangings and similar items. It is comfortable in the hand and very powerful. I have several cordless drills and routinely use this one preferentially.

chuck locked up.

I have had this drill for 5 years. The chuck locked up while trying to change from a drill bit to a screw bit. Tried to used the web sight to see what to do but didnt have any luck. .

Durable and Efficient

Good price for a tool that has been very dependable and easy to use. The battery lasts great for the general owner such as my self who does not work in the construction trade.

This drill does not last

The drill started to spark from the motor. I only have this tool for about two year. Not the quality tool I was expecting

Reliable tool/service

Had it for about a year and used it A LOT! It finally started slacking on me about a week ago. Got a hold of DeWalt customer support and they immediately got me the details to go to my local DeWalt facility to get it fixed. My issue I had is the chuck lets go of what ever piece I put in and if I'm drilling it pretty much looses power mid-drill and have to change the bit multiple times to get a desired hole. I haven't gone yet and wondering if it'll be a replacement situation. Will post on how...

Overall a good work drill.

Overall this drill is a very good drill for most tasks. I’ve used it for almost a year now for work and have not had any problems yet as I mostly use it to cut holes from 1-3 inches. The only downside to the kit is the smaller battery does not last very long.

Great drill

This drill is awsome! It is lightweight and gets the job done! I bought this drill because my old one went out and it has been a blessing. It stays charged longer than any other drill I have purchased. Its design is comfortable in my hand and it is made of quality materials. It has great torque and gets the job done! I would highly recommend this product!

Chuck Problems

I have 3 of the 20 volt drill/drivers. Prior I had 3 18 volt drill/drivers. The quality of the chucks on the 20 volt drill/drivers is terrible. I have to constantly tighten up the chuck because it is loose. I am talking about maybe every 2 minutes. I am so frustrated that I am about ready to chuck these tools for another brand.

Would be great but the chuck is worthless.

I have had this less than a year. My chuck doesn’t lock up as some people have said, my chuck spontaneously won’t tighten or else I will have a bit in it and it just spins when I try to change it. It’s a wasted tool. However, I’ve had no battery issues.

Chuck problem like the rest

Had less than 6 months, limited use and the chuck is stuck. Can't budge it.

Finally got what I wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Should have bought the Dewalt Drill / Driver set years ago. Would have saved me a lot of money from buying tools that just dont last. These are the best power tools I own and I plan on buying more of them.

Out of this world reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this after my Milwaukee at work was giving me fits with the transmission. (Not moving from foreword to reverse). I was thinking this would get me by, but to my pleasure this unit has provided me with great reliability, speed and power. I love the dual speed control. The fantastic battery life and durability. Completely unexpected, but Dewalt has a long-standing history of a reliable company with excellent quality and guarantee.
