At this price point its an AMAZING saw!

for only slightly more than a job sight saw, and less 50% than a competitive saw (other than its rigid twin) you can't beat this saw. OK, you have to do some minor adjustments to the blade and fence. But if your a wood worker you need to know how to tweak your equipment anyway. stop crying! lol

Assembly issues

I bought this to be delivered pre-assembled and there were some issues. The fence looked like it was dropped and had some major dings. The adjustable feet wouldn't screw in very far so I had to make my own shims. The fence rail connector was put in with the support piece on the inside of the fence instead of underneath and in the process the threads were stripped. I purchased the Delta 5000, 10" table saw from Lowes, had it delivered for $75.00 (that's fair) assembled it and spent a few extra hrs dialing it in. I ran it for 30 seconds, the next time I turned it on, the blade spun 2 revolutions and ceased. The reset button didn't pop out. After calling their tech support I was told that's a very common problem with that saw, that's why they give a 5 year warranty on parts.???? Don't expect the correct specialized tools in tool

I liked the product until I was trying to do the adjustments. The instructions said to "use the provided 4mm t-handle allen wrench..." unfortunately, they had provided a 5mm tool and it would not fit the 4mm allen wrench screws that needed to be loosened. I contacted Delta and asked for the correct tool. They said that all they had were 5mm wrenches. So now I have to go out and get a 4mm t-handle allen wrench. I won't be buying Delta tools when i get my planer, lathe, and jointer.

Punches above its class

This saw has made my life in the shop much easier. I haven't found a type or thickness of wood that doesn't go through the blade like butter. Mine was extremely accurate right out of the box, but do take your time setting it up.

Smooth and running quiet saw

I've used and owned a Delta Unisaw for many years. Since I've recently retired, I needed a saw in my new home shop for quality furniture building. This saw cuts very well indeed. It's extremely smooth running and very quiet. So far, I've cut quite a bit of 1" thick curly maple and mahogany, and it cuts like butter with a Forrest blade. This table saw is the perfect cost, quality and performance needed for at home jobs. The quality of this makes it so much safer to use than the portable job site ones that so many people buy for their homes.

The next step from your table saw to a cabinet saw

It took several hours to assemble and adjust this saw. But it's worth it. There are plenty of examples on YouTube of how to do it quickly and accurately. The cast iron table is sturdy and level, and the miter gauge doesn't need the aftermarket upgrades. The saw is quiet enough and doesn't put pressure on your ears. Accurate right out of the box.

Outstanding fence, was set up correctly right out of the box. Very heavy duty cast iron table and saw blade was completely parallel to the miter gauge channels. Very pleased.

Expecting industrial level precision from a non-industry standard table saw is setting yourself up for failure.
