#9 Not Good Deck Srews

The #9 screws were not good. I used them to upgrade my deck from wood to Trex. I started regretting the choice of #9 screws (#9 & #10 screws recommended) after installing about 12 deck boards. Threads did not grip good in the old wood frame or the new treated 2x4's added to be 16" centers.

Seemless

These work better thsn the brackets in my opinion. They allow for a tighter installation. The brackets create more space in between the slats. They also blend well with the brown boards. Made the install much easier.

Less expensive than the Trex screws and look just as food

Good screws for composite decking

We bought these to go with composite decking. I expect them to far outlast the nails use in the previous deck floor.

Lousy wood screws

The screws were terrible. They did not work well with the bit provided!!!
