Interesting feature with these screws, I'm hooked.
Would RecommendBuilding the post and rail frame for the picket fence today, I noticed these screws had the cross hatched shank and thought that was a pretty decoration. But looking online at these screws, I see that cross hatch is actually a file to help your screw holes not have splinters when the screw head enters the wood. Thinking back to the job today, I did fleetingly observe that the screws were making nice, clean holes in the wood, like they'd been countersunk. Wow.
