Ratings & Reviews for DAP 16 Fluid ounce(s) White Popcorn Water-based Ceiling Texture
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly report severe reliability issues with this wall texture spray. Most describe complete non-functionality, clogged nozzles, or trigger failures within seconds of use. Many note the spray produces giant globs, sparse mist, or orange peel effects instead of intended texture, with results sloughing off walls. Several mention extensive shaking yields only brief bursts before the can becomes unusable. A few report limited success for tiny patch repairs when following instructions carefully, but these experiences are vastly outweighed by widespread complaints about poor performance and product failure.

Would Not RecommendWe followed the instructions to a T. I shook the can upside down for several minutes. We tried spraying from the recommended distance. Nothing worked. The stuff piled in itself in blotchy spots, but luckily, I don't have to go back and scrap it off because most of it just fell off before it dried.
Absolute junk
Would Not RecommendStuff is defective and junk. Shook it like the instructions say, went to spray it, got one splat of texture and then done. No more air. Threw it in the trash can. $20 gone.

Good for patch work.
Would RecommendI like this product because even though it won’t look exactly like the professional product that is sprayed on it is great for small patch work and it is not super noticeable

Use a hopper
Would Not RecommendAs a knock down it’s not good. Kept getting clogged. Should have used my hopper. I know the company is ok with other products but this product isn’t good for my application or as stated. I say this and am experienced.

this is absolute trash! Do not waste your money!
Would Not RecommendDoes not result in the popcorn texture you are looking for. It clogs and oozes instead of spraying. The competitor's spray version (when used correctly) was much better.
