I'm a retired contractor. My niche market were high rise condos on Chicago's Lakefront, some of which are designated landmark buildings like 800-900 N. Lake Shore Drive designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and others. Kitchen and bath remodeling was a huge part of my business. When I first discovered DAP Kwik Seal Plus I never used anything else. That it cleans up with water eliminated the sticky mess associated with pure silicone caulks. That it's paintable, resists mold/mildew is great too and...

Good caulk but the tube blew out

Bought a 5.5 ounce tube of white kwik seal caulk and while applying it around a couple of new sinks, the tube blew out and half the product was all over me and the countertop. What a mess. If you don't want to wear it, buy another brand.

Color on tube flaking off

I professionally refinish tub, surrounds and sinks. After I'm done spraying I caulk the tub. Well the outside of the tube is flaking off, into the freshly painted tub. I may stop buying this product and try some other brand. I've already had to tape some of the tube

I would never buy this product again.

I had set this product in replacement of old caulk, set for 48h. Seems almost as the water had literally eaten it away 3 days later. Shower is leaking and now I have a problem. Not happy

Crack Proof Guarantee is for ONE YEAR!

I purchased Dap Kwik Seal Plus to use around my shower wall. The front of the Dap tube states "crack proof guarantee". After applying, I read the small print on the back of the tube- this product will not mildew, crack, peel or separate when used as directed within one year of purchase. It is deceptive to state on the front of the tube- crack proof guarantee, then on the reverse of the tube state only for one year. If the caulk cracks, then it is no longer 100% waterproof, like it states on the ...

Absolute garbage.

This stuff goes on great. Waited 20 hours before showering, tube says wait 18. Half way through the shower water hit the caulk and it started washing right out. Okay so maybe I did something wrong, or had a bad tube. So I removed all of it, dried anything wet, and ran a dehumidifier on constant for 26 hours. The bathroom was dry as a bone. I reapplied. Waited 32 hours after application, while running the dehumidifier the whole time. Room was dry, and it stayed about 76 in the room the whole time...

I would definitely purchase this product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] if you want the job done right think it the best KWIK SEAL PLUS Premium Kitchen & Bath Adhesive. I used this around my kitchen sink where I have multiple problems with mold and since applying this to my new sink I haven't had any problems and I'm extremely happy. Totally easy to use even for a new beginning.

I would buy this product every time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a product I haven't tried, due to always buying cheap stuff. Undecided to strip my old caulking and redo it. It was harder to get out, but that's preferable over something runny. It was easy to smoothe out tho and that's a huge plus when making something look good vs like a amateur.
