Works as described

Reading the directions is really important. Them making sure to not have any excess material. I did these and ended up with smooth edges. It did need two coats to fill the crack properly.

Very Misleading Placement and Label

Read reviews all over the web and you'll see that people mistake this non-sandable product for normal patching compound frequently. It doesn't help that the front of the tub says nothing about not being able to sand the product, nor does it help that Lowe's sells it in the same spot that they sell all other drywall compounds and patch kits. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT TO PATCH/ REPAIR DRYWALL unless you want to ruin your wall. You CANNOT sand this product, and despite what it says, painting it ...

Feathering and caulking in one.

It's like caulk in a tub. I had to match slight differences in plywood thickness and this did the trick. I also used it to fill nail holes and seams. Awesome stuff.

Good product you just have to know how, when and were to use these products. Probably best if you don't right a review unless you know what product your buying, personally,i never had a problem with this product or similar elastomeric patching compounds... Tom in so. cal. journeyman painter

Use it for what it is made for

This is not a filler for large defects. It is to use instead of spackling or patching plaster for cracks that reoccur every time you patch them. It is not sandable, so you need to be careful when filling the crack. It will stretch and compress so that cracks don't reappear over time.

Thinner than expected

This product seemed thinner than inexpensive spackle. This made it a bit harder to fill in a large defect with a single coat. I do think that it is more durable so I would reserve this product for outdoor applications.

Don't waste your money

I bought this to patch a hole in drywall that had an A/C PVC drain pipe going through some drywall. Applying this was difficult as it continued to sag and become uneven. I even tried to dry it fast with a heat gun to prevent sagging but still didn't work. Takes forever to dry. Stick to the cheaper DAP drywall patch.

Met my expectations

I used this product to fill cracks in a plaster arch. The product solidly set the loose portions. I was then able to mud over the surface. I went to several hardware stores and a building supplier - none of whom had heard of a glue for cracked plaster. Only Lowe's had this product.

Perfect source for cement board patching

Great product for patching cement board walls and ceilings. It will stretch with house shifts so the crack does not reopen. Simple to use and easy clean-up.
