Best weed eater I have ever had. It is lightweight and easy to handle. My favorite part is how easy it is to load new string. Also, after using the weed eater, I have found that emptying the gas back into my gas container and cranking it to run the rest of the gas out of the carburetor, makes the life of the weed eater last longer.

Ran once, never again

Only time it ran when I started it for the first time, I turned off and it never ran again

After purchasing one of these Craftsman trimmers that only lasted just over 2 years, I purchased another one, because I have many Troy Built attachments. (My Troy Built trimmer lasted nearly 8 years). Of course the new Craftsman died at just over 2 years as well. It's not the carburetor, I had that replaced and no difference. Attachments from previous Ryobi brands work

I bought this for my son. But I have the same unit that I bought a few years ago. Needed a replacement for an old Ryobi that used attachments. I had tried another brand that failed in less than a year. But this Craftsman has been excellent. No issues with starting or performance. I suspect that this unit is made by Husqvarna but can’t say that for sure. All my old attachments work fine on this unit. No instructions on refilling the trim line

It has no instructions on how to refill the trim line

package was damaged at pick up. It was missing the shield and handle for the trimmer. I complained to customer service and they said all they could do was reorder another one. The salesperson at pick up said that in the past, customers would get a 10-20% discount on the reorder. I asked and got no where with the customer service person. She was just rude about it all

Frustrating

The line spits out this thing all the time. When you spend more time jacking with the line than actually cutting grass there is a problem.

Shaft ripped in two

We have had this weedeater for 3 years and used it about 6 times. The other day it started vibrating more than usual and then the metal shaft ripped in half down near the head at a spot where a screw tightens into the pole creating a weak point. I’m so glad my friend wasn’t injured who was using it. The motor is still fine. I inquired with support and have heard nothing back so far.

Don't forget the oil, they didn't.

Nice and easy to put together. Comes with 1 measured 2 cycle oil (nice to get started).
