Ratings & Reviews for CRAFTSMAN 3300 Starting / 2500 Running Watt Gasoline Single Fuel Inverter Generator

Wouldn’t recommend buying it

Had it for a year, I didn’t use it much. All of a sudden it started decelerating and accelerating abnormally when it was on, until one day it just stoped working. Worst grand I ever spent.

Not enough strong as the description

I have the 300i and is stronger than new on ale and new one is the 3300i

Awesome product

Product is very versatile I can even charge a car battery love it

Shop aroiund before you need one

Didnt open found cheaper elsewhere

Really simple for me to follow directions and fire

Size and weight were perfect

Piece of crap

This generator is less than 100 days old from the date of purchase. It is brand new and will not start. Nobody within 50 miles of my location can do warranty work. I have tried to return it to Lowe's and they will not accept it so I'm stuck with a $800 generator that will not work.

Totally Disappointed for Multiple Reasons

I ordered the CMZGIAC3300 directly from Lowe's. Because of weather issues, it was delivered by FedEx five days late. That isn't a fault of Generac or Lowe's. FedEx, however, wasn't doing deliveries when UPS was. I bought a new gas can from Lowe's on Friday before delivery. The box showed no sign of damage whatsoever. I got the unit prepared (added the proper amount of oil supplied and fresh gas from the new container mentioned above. I started pulling on the starter with the setting on Choke. I...

STAY FAR AWAY!

This thing simply does not run. I followed all of the instructions for storage, but it won't start no matter what. Read online about the nightmares most people have with these units and what it takes to get it running again. Can't return. Top 5 worst purchases I've ever made.

The jury is still out

Difficulty starting for the first time. Had to return it to Lowe's where they were able to start it. Had myself and three other guys attempt to start it before returning it to Lowes. Bought it at a different store than where I returned it. Was Christmas shopping near the store of purchase but carried to back to a closer store for an exchange. Was told to exchange I had to take it back to the store where the purchase was made. Since they were able to start it I took it back home. It runs g...

If you get what you pay for, then money well spent

I've only needed it once so far during a public safety power shutoff for about 18 hours. Easy to set up out of the box, add the oil and fuel and you're good to go. (and the oil was included in the box!) It is surprisingly quiet compared to generators I've been around in the past. It is pretty small and about as heavy as a well packed suitcase but less than 50 lbs. It starts easily and with the relatively small load we put on it, a tank of fuel (just regular unleaded btw, no mixing) lasts more th...

HOPEFULLY a great Craftsman Gasoline Generator

We haven’t opened it! We bought it in anticipation of the cold spells of winter, we’ve lost power for up to 10 days in the last 2 years. My 2 BIL have the same gasoline generator and he always speaks great about it, that’s why we bought this specific one

no lowes

bought at lowes mistake 30 day warrenty contacted craftsman had it for 2 years covers only parts. only ran it off and on to make sure when i needed it the generator would start. during the hurricane would not start. now its in a repair shop estimated cost 450 dollars. i must pay thank you craftsman for standing behind your product

Hunk of junk

I bought this thing during a snowstorm Thursday 12-5. I just needed something to run my furnace because my house dropped to 54 degrees from 72. I brought it home, read the instructions out in the cold. Prepped it. Removed spark plug, primed the oil, added gas. Started it up, black smoke rolled out of the back. Immediately stopped it and looked all around it. Couldn't find the source of why it was blowing smoke. Tried to start it again. It flashed low oil and wouldn't start. I packed it all up an...

Good Generator

Does great handling a freezer and a refrigerator during power outage. Decently fuel efficient and only moderately noisy. Easy to start and has some nice output features. Build quality was an issue for me which is why I took a star off. 1st one I got had a manufacturing defect which prevented it from running, but Lowe's did a great job with the return and getting me set up with a new one.
