Craftsman 6-in Pocket Plane
Would RecommendI used this plane to smooth the edges on drywall. It did a very good job of making clean and smooth passes while taking off material very quickly.

Works great, one caveat.
Would RecommendSharp, easy to handle and affordable. The only problem for me was that it doesn't shave wood to the very edge of the tool. It misses about 1/8" holding it either direction. I needed it for a narrow edge, so it didn't quite do the job. However, I can see why it would be difficult to find just the right tool for this detail, because it needs a bit of edge for the blade to attach to.

Alright
Would RecommendIt works alright for soft wood, but not that effective on hard wood.

Wrong Tool for Me
Would Not RecommendI needed a block plane - I needed to take off about 1/8" off the top of a door. This pocket plane's teeth tore at more door more than working as a plane. I am not sure what I would use this tool for. When I looked up DIY videos, this tool never appeared.

Did the job!
Would RecommendI’m very much a novice. This pocket plane worked so well for me! I was able to shave down the top and side of a screen door so it would close completely.

Did the job
Would RecommendWe tiled the laundry room floor and the door was sticking. Tried shaving off end with utility knife.... wrong tool for project. This little tool worked like a charm. Shaved the end off with unnoticeable damage to the door.
Not a cheese grater! But works great wood!!!
Very nice, simple little pocket plane, that does what it's supposed to. I have used this on wood and foam board alike and it does grate, the plastic tightening screw is a little fragile (already broke one) but if you dont drop it your good
