What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this tool for its surprising power, lightweight design, and ease of use, with many highlighting fast cutting through wood, branches, and nails without bogging down. The tool-free blade change and battery compatibility with existing cordless systems are widely appreciated conveniences. However, a notable group reports sudden motor failures accompanied by smoke or burning smells, sometimes after just a few uses or within a couple of years, which undermines confidence in long-term durability. Despite these concerns, most customers consider the performance and value compelling enough to recommend.

Would Not RecommendOnly had this saw for less than a year. 2nd tool this year that has done this. At least the warrenty department at Craftsman didn't tell me to keep using it like they did with the drill that started to smoke
Just what I needed
Would RecommendShopping for a new saw, glad I purchased this one, it is perfect and the battery lasts a long time

Great value.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great saw for the money. I've made hundreds of cuts, even a few small trees.

I got it for free when I bought a few other craftsman products and I tried it the first week and it was not strong enough even with one of the highest rated batteries. I kept hesitating on taking it back because it was free and I can’t even cut through a pallet without it binding up it constantly binds up and just my luck that one year whatever policy is done with so I really don’t recommend. It gets jammed up so easily even even while it’s not ...

Solid saw for the price
Would RecommendA lot stronger than I thought it would be. For a $100, not bad. Vibrates a lot without any dampening handles but works well with 2x6s
Easy use with fast blade release
