Ratings & Reviews for Coast TP9R Professional 1000-Lumen 3 -Adjustable Mode LED Rechargeable Flashlight

Super bright, simple and compact rechargeable

This is a great flashlight. I had been using Coast products for a while and this was my first rechargeable. My only critique is you must cycle through all 3 brightness levels seemingly every time it is used. I find myself using the dimmest light during the night, so that takes 5 clicks of the button- ON Bright OFF ON Super Bright OFF ON Low setting. Also the clip tends to grab the bottom of some shirts and get pulled out of my pocket.

Really bright

Bought this thing at lowes for 27 bucks and didn’t think it was gonna be much, but it is an dang good flashlight, even for 50 this thing is worth it.

It is quite bright for its size

I like it’s small enough to hold in your mouth while you work with both hands

Only if

I was falling in love the brightness was great, battery charged quick, charged lasted long. Then the spring where battery sits inside flashlight came undone, it appears not enough sodder.

This is the real deal!

Lots of lumens for your $$$$, easy to handle with one hand. The price, light, and easy to carry around , makes it A GREAT LIGHT!. I do recommend it.

TP9R

I work security third shift and don't like to carry the large flashlight provided, so i bought TP9R, brighter and stronger that larger flashlights and less expensive, loved it but the spring came loose, i actually purchased another, then filed a warranty claim. It was a simple process and Coast sent me a new one, no need to return the original one. Great product that i highly recommend as even the highest quality products, will sometimes have flawed one. But Coast also srands behind their p...

Tp9r flash light

I recommend this lamp because it works very well, it’s reliable, and works anytime I use it.

best bang for the buck

there might be some things you could make better but then it would cost 150 bucks. thus light is very bright, light weight, flood or spot, soft touch select on tail cap, but then my favorite thing is dual power! take out the rechargeable battery with a built in charger with is awesome and while it's charging drop in two lithium batteries and keep using it, now that's a really great feature for an outdoorsman 2 miles out in the mountains and ya battery dies

I Like This Light!

I've used the TP9R for several weeks now. Long enough to have a good idea of its true character, strength, and weaknesses. I like this light. My profession is demanding. I begin my day in darkness. Working outside I am exposed to all kinds of weather. Days after receiving the TP9R, 8 inches of snow fell. A few days later another 6 inches of snow fell. The I wondered how the rechargeable battery would work in the cold, if it would lose power for quickly for example. I experienced none of t...

New EDC

I have used this product rigorously for well over the past month. It has been bright when I needed it to and dim when it needed to be. I’ve had to charge it about four times in the past month and use it on a daily basis. The adjustable focus is a must have if you’re looking for variety in uses. Has become a part of my work attire every day for 9+ hours and continues to do its job on the dark tasks at the house. 10/10 would recommend.

Its ok

For the price of it really worth it can go to Menards and get a brighter light for same amount and I wish when I got it the recharge battery would actually recharge had to contact the manufacturer now I have to wait 2 weeks for new battery, but will say it's great in your hand

EDC Must Have

This light is an EDC dream. It’s less than 6 inches long and sports a 1,000 lumens brightness. It has a well placed pocket clip which gives you multiple carry options. The housing is all metal and can take some abuse. You can use the butt cap to select between brightness as well. This has quickly become one of my favorite lights.

prefect for everyday carry

I had the TP9R for a few weeks now and the size is perfect to carry on my belt or in my pocket while working. Small enough to forget its at your side with plenty of power to light up the room with 1000 lumen. the only thing I would change is the power button on the side like the TX14R but that just me.

Great Light

Very happy with the size, weight, and power of this light. Sometimes my pen light just doesn't do the job. And this light is perfect. Fits in my front pocket on the clip. Zooms in and out. Which every field mechanic needs. And you can charge it with your cell charger. Perfect.

Great light weight flashlight.

The TP9R is a small light weight Flashlight. It has a 1000 lumens that packs a punch, even at total darkness. The TP9R is adjustable from a small to large light pattern. It is very easy to handle with a pen style clip to attach to shirt pocket or side pants pocket. The battery is rechargeable which is the way to go these days. I do a lot of construction site visit with very low lighting with wet and dusty condition. So far the TP9R has done very well in these conditions. Its my to go flashlight...

Great light, but.....

This light is great, very bright, very compact, easy to use, and looks like it can take a beating and still operate. It's missing a few key COAST options though; external plug/charge port (battery must be removed to charge) and the option to use CR123 batteries is not that appealing (they're typically expensive and not as readily available as AA or AAA). If you're ok with either feeding the light CR123 batteries, buying another rechargeable replacement battery, or foregoing the use of the light ...

Great Flashlight

I was given this TP9R to review by coast. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this light. Coming from the Hp8r It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, yet bright enough light up I’ve been using this light everyday for 2 weeks now and i have absolutely no complaints.

Excellent little light

I've had this flashlight for a couple weeks now. It a great light. Handy and fits in pockets and bags. It's actually surprisingly bright for the size. Has high medium and low settings. It has a lanyard to attach to your wrist that comes in handy, but it seems a little lite duty. I haven't tested it for strength yet. It's rechargeable although you have to remove the battery to charge it, unlike some of the other lights Coast has. But all in all, it's a great light and I would definitely recomm...
