I've had this grille for 11 years now and use it a lot and it's fine except a few parts: the edge of the grill where the grates sit and the clips where the burner covers rest. So I'm not an expert, but I painted all of the parts except the burners and grates with 2000 degree + ceramic engine paint when the grille was new. Those rusting parts I would give more coats in the future. I also connected a flexible metal tube to the drain pan into a pop bottle to catch the liquids.

Best grill ever.

Best gas grill I have ever owned. This is my 4th, as long as the company keeps making this very model, I'm a fan and customer.

awesome grill .... my third !!! Great heat if you like your meats seared fast to seal in the juice! and i love the top warming rack .... largest in its class ... holds a small size cookie sheet to warm up any foods

Bought this from lowes online and had it shipped to my house. Box was missing a few pieces which was disappointing but accidents happen. I registered the grill with the company and their CS team was fast and awesome and though it took a couple tries I got the rest of my parts in under two weeks. Which is actually crazy fast considering that was 3 packages of parts. In any case, i had my first homemade grilled hamburgers in a year last night and they were dang near perfect.

No longer the good cast iron like they use to be.

When I bought one of these back in 2010 In Washington I loved it. It was cast iron and the Grate was heavy and thick. I moved from Colorado to Indiana and didn’t have room to move it. So I sold it. I saw Lowe’s still had them. Cost more but inflation. Didn’t read Description because I had already had one. I should’ve my mistake. This is very light and very I shouldn’t say flimsy because it is solid but it’s just not the same. I was so disappointed it was no longer cast-iron.

Hot little number!

Highest BTUs per square inch that I could find and it cooks that way. To cook you need a grill that gets hot fast and stays that way. Without regard to costs, this is the best I have found and is my third exact model that I have purchased. It is priced to allow you to burn it hot and hard then replace it. Nothing fancy, just a great grill.

Had a problem, they were right on it.

I either lost or it was not in the box, several items that were needed to get cookin. They immediately responded and have sent me the missing items. Its refreshing in these times to know there is actual customer support. I am adding it to cap off my different types of Cookers.

I grill daily, as I prefer keeping all cooking that generates smoke outside. I can't believe I've wasted decades on other grills in this price range. The Char-Griller 3071 is a superior product across the board. Especially build quality and performance. I especially like the drip and grease pan design. Frankly the entire design of this Q is so much better than anything boxy. I'm a customer for life!

Free assembly will cause inconvenient delays

Absolutely love the grill, heats quickly and evenly, easy to clean. Gave a 3 star review because because Lowe's notified me that the assembled grill was ready for pick up 3 times over a 2 week period and when i arrived it wasnt ready because assemblers 'didnt show up'.
