Ratings & Reviews for CANTEX 1 -Gang Plastic Old work Switch/Outlet Electrical Box
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this shallow electrical box for solving tight-space installation challenges in mobile homes, RVs, and older construction where standard boxes won't fit. The shallow depth, easy installation, and reliable performance consistently earn strong satisfaction. Most find it cost-effective and appreciate the surface-mount design with flanged holes. The compact form enables retrofits behind drawers and on concrete foundations where alternatives fail. A few note limitations with GFI receptacles or heavier fixtures, and some mention the plastic feels slightly flimsy, but these concerns are rare and context-specific. Overall, reviewers consider it an excellent, practical solution for constrained installations.

Worked well for my application
Would RecommendThis box worked well for my application and was easy to install. It was a little tight when connecting another line, so I would recommend using a deeper box for anything beyond a single switch. For a basic single-switch installation, it worked as expected.
