Great Shelf, but….

The shelf is great, but… The installation, which should have been simple was complicated by two screws on the left of the firebox that had become frozen in their barrel nuts. This was further complicated by the barrel nuts slipping in their holes. It required a Dremel tool and some grinding to cut out the two screws and barrel nuts. Nice Shelf, but ...

Bought this because I needed space for plates ,drinks, and whatever, and I have the Sidekick so I do need the extra space - works great for that. BUT gettimg at the ash cup is now a PITA, I now have to get down on my hands and knees Assembly only took about 10 minutes, and the quality of the shelf is very good. Delivery was fast

Front shelf for 24dxl pellet grill

Easy to install since I had existing holes in grill body. Wish you still sold bottom shelf but was told it’s discontinued.

After much research for my price point and size of pellet grill, I decided on the Camp Chef Pellet Grill Front Shelf - 24". I have used it about 6 times now, and I really love it. The assembly instructions were well laid out and easy to follow. It's a sturdy well built unit, although I do wish the grill door fit a little more snug onto the unit when closed. A great addition to your Camp chef pellet grill.

This is the second shelf that I've ordered, as I already have one on my other Camp Chef pellet grill. These shelves are great as a resting place when prepping food to go on the grill or a place to put the food when your removing it from the grill. The shelf is easy to install as the spots to bolt on the shelf brackets are already in place. I would estimate the time to install was around 15-20 minutes using a screwdriver. 24 inch shelf, a MUST HAVE!

Love the shelf! It is large enough to hold a large baking sheet, roughly the size of two large racks of top ribs. It makes it easy to transfer in and out for wrapping or off loading chicken, steaks or whatever without taking a chance of dropping them on the ground.

Front shelf

This is a must have and should come standard. Up or folded down, makes reaching to the firebox clean out cup from the front a bit of a chore. Minor issue, get one for sure!!

Lot's of extra room

After having a side shelf for years I was used to having it there. Changing grills and having the flattop there, I ordered the front shelf. It was easy to attach and It is very useful. I'm glad I ordered it.

like an extra set of hands

I got this shelf awhile ago and wanted to see how well it works. Let me tell you it is like you have an extra set of hands. When your putting food in the smoker or taking it out you just lay it on the shelf. And it supported a 12lb brisket with no problem. This is a must have for your smoker

Shelf needs update

Should come with the grill. The width is smaller than the barrel of the Woodwind Wifi 24 would look better if it was the same width. The finish on the shelf is glossy textured and the finish of the Woodwind Wifi 24 is flat matte. The locking mechanism cover on the bolt is plastic and probably won't last and rarely lines up automatically and have to make a conscious effort to line it up. Essential convenience feature

This shelf should come standard with the smoker. Makes it much easier to remove briskets and ribs for wrapping. Good quality and easy to install.

Great Extra Space

I purchased this shelf in addition to the side shelf for right now, I am waiting for the sidekick so I will lose the side shelf. I find myself using this shelf more than the side self because of it's location right in front of the grill. It makes transferring food to the grill very easy and when the food is done just as easy. The shelf conveniently folds down out of the way, is very sturdy and the grill cover still fits perfectly with the shelf folded down.
