I've used these for several years now and am very pleased with the results. It may not be clear from the product description that these screws must be used with a guide tool and special bit since they don't have much of a point on the end. They are designed to be installed on the sides of a board (rather than through the top). I have used them with several different types of wood (treated pine, cedar, garapa and Ipe) as well as both lengths based on whether it was for 5/4 deck boards or 2x stock...
