What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the hidden-fastener system for creating a seamless, screw-free deck surface that transforms aesthetics. Most report excellent results with the installation tool, highlighting consistent spacing, effortless driving without splitting, and strong holding power in composite and treated wood. The combination is frequently called easy, fast, and hassle-free. A large majority report flawless performance with no stripped heads or pre-drilling needed. However, some customers in regions with extreme temperature swings report screws shearing at deck-joist interfaces, occasionally becoming unremovable. Despite these durability concerns in high-stress environments, most reviewers consider the system a worthwhile investment for superior deck appearance.

Screws snap easily

The CAMO system works great. The problem is that the CAMO screws will shear off and break during temperature swings. Did my large deck last summer and the outcome look great! Fast and easy, used the tool for consistent lines all with hidden fasteners. 7 months later I've noticed some of my boards are loose, and the broken screws that I could back out had sheared off at the interface between the decking and the PT structure underneath, which means the screws could not handle the shear stress of t...

Screws are hidden but they do not securely attach boards. Put down one four foot section of board and could pull it back up with my hand. This was using the Camo hand tool 49.00. If you want hidden go composite with decking with fasteners.

These are the best way to secure your decking.

Would Recommend

My lowes only carries two packages of these screws, the big pack with a hand tool to install screws and a very small package. I did get two small packages for 5 bucks on clearance, otherwise they are $11 a piece for 100 screws.

A big dissapointmentrpm dewalt

Would Not Recommend

I tried to use this product to put down composite decking for a new front porch. Instructions say to use a high speed drill to apply the fasteners. My drill is a 3200 rpm Dewalt. The fasteners are a blunt screw that resembles a screw that has been cut with side cutter or bolt cutter that doesn't cut it's way into the material being fastened. once enough pressure is applied and the screw goes through the material it then lifts the material off the floor joist. The product might work with wood pro...

quality control is intermittent

Would Recommend

Some of the screws in a box will work fine, drawing into the decking easily, while others will not, requiring much pressure and time to get them to sink into the material. The small head screw is nice, and also worked well to stop some squeeks in a tiled floor.

Great hidden fastener for decks

Would Recommend

I've used these for several years now and am very pleased with the results. It may not be clear from the product description that these screws must be used with a guide tool and special bit since they don't have much of a point on the end. They are designed to be installed on the sides of a board (rather than through the top). I have used them with several different types of wood (treated pine, cedar, garapa and Ipe) as well as both lengths based on whether it was for 5/4 deck boards or 2x stock...

Easy to use and hassle Free!

Would Recommend

Used these screws on a 1000 S.F. deck! These were used with timber tech decking! Very easy to use with Marksman Pro! Also used on smaller 300 S.F. Treated Wood Deck worked well in both situations! I do recommend if using Treated Decking only apply screws at both ends and middle of boards until wood completly dries. Otherwise if all screws are applied all of your boards will split as they dry...These screws are tanks and hold very well!
