Ratings & Reviews for CALI Fossilized Java Bamboo 9/16-in T x 5-1/8-in W Water Resistant Smooth/Traditional Solid Hardwood Flooring ( 25.88-sq ft / Carton )

Wouldn't recommend.

We used Cali Flooring throughout our whole house. It was installed by a professional with 20+ years experience. He knows to leave room around the edges, and he knows how to install flooring. It was installed in 2021, started having cupping and seam problems in 2023 but pursued a warranty claim in 2026. Was denied warranty claim. Did I mention it is in our whole house? Every room has a problem. Corners are separating and coming up. I trip on sprung seams constantly. I have had to put dow...

Cali bamboo flooring

It has great strength and a beautiful finish, is easy to install, and the staff - Scott and Nic were a big help getting the boxes onto my cart

great bamboo flooring

Just received 5 boxes of cali bamboo fossilized java 3 3/4" x 36" planks. 2 of which had been opened prior to being shipped from lowes. one box had obviously been purchased and returned before because there were cut pieces in the box. the delivery driver took pictures and told me they would turn it in when they got back to their warehouse. lowes should not have sold these boxes as new product.

Easy to return any extra supplies.

It looks warm, yet fresh. Beautiful.

can't tell yet. it is still in the box.

We had water damage, The product you sent was spot on for the color. We haven't put it down yet.

It's very hard and was tough to nail down.

Love this flooring. It was easy to install and looks amazing.

Cracking of surface

We had this installed this product 6 years ago (in Michigan). After 3 yrs noticed a couple boards with small cracks in the surface. We now have maybe 25 percent of the boards showing minute cracks. The flooring installation company and a Cali hired specialist have confirmed it is a problem. Cali says it's our fault due to fluctuations in humidity. We have a well insulated house with a furnace humidifier, and yes, in the summer on nice days open the window. Otherwise we run the AC in hot weather....

Quick availability

Consistent color and shipped with no damage

Great product

I installed this in three bedrooms 6 months ago and have had no issues. It was a glue-down process over a plywood subfloor. I used a Sika acoustic underlayment which makes the floor a pleasure to walk on. I love solid stranded bamboo! It is heavy, difficult to scratch, and looks amazing. Avoid the laminated bamboo at all costs. It just gives bamboo floors a bad reputation. I have done a floating floor with solid stranded bamboo in the past and have had problems with planks separating. Th...

Don't Buy This

We've had this now for four years. I see the original Java Distressed isn't even offered anymore. Probably because it doesn't hold up at all. It scratches like crazy and the scratches are white, even though the color is supposed to go all the way through the material. We can't buy replacement pieces and we've run out now. It shrinks badly depending on the season so there's an inch or better all the way around the room where it pulls away from the wall exposing the underlayment (their recommendat...

Delivery driver was great.

Dennis did a great job. he made sure the product was placed where we wanted due to the weight of the packages.

Don't understand the haters

I bought a house that had this flooring installed a couple of years before my purchase. I honestly thought that it was vinyl plank and have treated/abused it as such for past year. Never really worried about spills or dog mess around food bowls. Got 2 dogs and a cat. Been in the place a year and the floor still looks great. Now that I know it's bamboo I'll pay attention to spills faster but I've been pleasantly surprised with this flooring.

It really looks better than in the picture.

It is good quality, very good finish.

DO NOT BUY

I bought 1800 SQ FT of this stuff and would never recommend it to anyone ..... Ive only had it down a couple of years and for the hardest best flooring ever, its worthless ..... The guarantees on the box quality dont stand up .... That was around $8000 im having to replace with tile ....

The floor looks amazing!

I was inexperienced in wood floors and had it professionally installed. It is great quality and looks amazing.

Great product

Love the durability of this product! It holds up great to 2 large dogs and is easy to keep clean. It's easy to install, snapping together very quickly. We have used it in several rooms of our house.
