I bought this refrigerator a month ago and love it. It's beautiful and has more space than I thought it would have.

Could have been great but we fixed it

We absolutely love the space and layout of this refrigerator, but the water and ice features are incredibly disappointing, especially at this price point! The water dispenser is horrendous. Poor ice maker

We liked the refrigerator and paid a good bit of money for it. We have had it 2 mths.and the ice maker has quit working . Very frustrated to wait a week for a repair man.

Love the water autofill and the wall of light!

I had a refrigerator like this one at the house I sold and I missed it. I had to get a smaller one in order to have all the features I love. (I could only get counter depth to get white.) Since I’m living alone now, I reasoned that I don’t need as much space, but I sure do want the wall of light in the back of the refrigerator AND my favorite feature is the auto fill on the water dispenser. I also prefer the freezer on the bottom like this has.

Beautiful and Outstanding Features

The Cafe line is beautiful, performs perfectly, and we wouldn’t buy any other line. The inside is just gorgeous as the outside. It cools and freezes our food properly. I have recommended the Cafe line to many friends and family!

I’m very disappointed with this refrigerator, especially considering the price tag. It is significantly louder than the older refrigerator it replaced. I even have a 25-year-old Profile refrigerator in my garage that is quieter than this one. The water and ice dispenser is also frustrating. You have to hold your cup right up against the ice dispenser because it tends to fling ice everywhere. Stopped working after 2 years

The first Cafe refrigerator had issues and had to get replaced under warranty. Now about 2 years into this new CFE refrigerator, the display goes out, then the freezer stops working, and when ordering parts to replace the original parts are no longer available and have been replaced with other parts that don’t fix the issues. So disappointed by this supposedly high end brand name. Only the coat is high, save the headaches and go with something else.

Very nice frig, but ice shape needs improved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is a great design and the functionality seems perfect. The only feature I don’t care for is the shape of the ice. The options are cubes or crushed. The cubes are more like large chips and when the cubes and crushed ice dispenses it shoots everywhere. A larger cube and a better dispensing system would be a great improvement.

Buy if it is on sale and manage expectations

We waited 10 years to do a kitchen renno, and I HAD to have all the bells and whistles. We bought all the cafe brand appliances - for me, they are just sooo beautiful and I loved the look. While I like the fridge, I don't love it, and it's probably my least favorite Cafe brand appliance. The shelves inside are very limiting. My old fridge had plenty of shelf room for condiments, deli, meats, fruit, veg, and other items. With the Cafe fridge, I find that I am lacking the storage drawers I want,...

Still waiting on delivery

So disappointed in this order. Was supposed to be delivered last Saturday…waited all day…. They called truck broke down 2 miles from our house. Wanted to know if we wanted to “come pick it up”!? Rescheduled for Monday….waited again all day. Saw where they rescheduled it for Saturday. Called store, said they tried to call us. We checked both phones, no call was placed to us. Said there was nothing they could do about it.

Somewhat disappointed with CAFE

Not exactly what we thought it would be. The backlight is dim and does not appear to be bright enough to see inside. With everything is going computerized, there should be a way to enhance the brightness inside. Temperature in freezer is set to 2 F but when put a thermometer in the freezer it registers 14F. We will be calling for service once we look online for the owners manual that they did not provide. It is very silly GE Cafe does not provide owners manuals for their products except for...

Disappointed

After owning it about 6 months we had Bodewell at house about 6 times for various problems The ice maker probably worst I’ve owned in 40 Years Eventually GE replaced whole refrigerator

Roomy, great features, looks great

We like the middle drawer and use it for storing items that we reach for throughout the day. Also like the two drawers in the freezer.

Stay Away, Compressor Failure, Terrible Customer S

Only 3.5 years old and a total compressor failure which is supposed to be covered under a 5 year warranty. However getting that warranty honored will require you to quick your job and work full time doing the run around with GE customer service. It's an essential appliance and they act as if it's an ice maker. We equipped our entire new house either GE/cafe and all but the drier have had at least on service visit, and now this Refrigerator.
