We waited 10 years to do a kitchen renno, and I HAD to have all the bells and whistles. We bought all the cafe brand appliances - for me, they are just sooo beautiful and I loved the look. While I like the fridge, I don't love it, and it's probably my least favorite Cafe brand appliance. The shelves inside are very limiting. My old fridge had plenty of shelf room for condiments, deli, meats, fruit, veg, and other items. With the Cafe fridge, I find that I am lacking the storage drawers I want,...

Still waiting on delivery

So disappointed in this order. Was supposed to be delivered last Saturday…waited all day…. They called truck broke down 2 miles from our house. Wanted to know if we wanted to “come pick it up”!? Rescheduled for Monday….waited again all day. Saw where they rescheduled it for Saturday. Called store, said they tried to call us. We checked both phones, no call was placed to us. Said there was nothing they could do about it.

Well thought out design features you'll love.

Somewhat disappointed with CAFE

Not exactly what we thought it would be. The backlight is dim and does not appear to be bright enough to see inside. With everything is going computerized, there should be a way to enhance the brightness inside. Temperature in freezer is set to 2 F but when put a thermometer in the freezer it registers 14F. We will be calling for service once we look online for the owners manual that they did not provide. It is very silly GE Cafe does not provide owners manuals for their products except for...

Disappointed

After owning it about 6 months we had Bodewell at house about 6 times for various problems The ice maker probably worst I’ve owned in 40 Years Eventually GE replaced whole refrigerator

Roomy, great features, looks great

We like the middle drawer and use it for storing items that we reach for throughout the day. Also like the two drawers in the freezer.

Stay Away, Compressor Failure, Terrible Customer S

Only 3.5 years old and a total compressor failure which is supposed to be covered under a 5 year warranty. However getting that warranty honored will require you to quick your job and work full time doing the run around with GE customer service. It's an essential appliance and they act as if it's an ice maker. We equipped our entire new house either GE/cafe and all but the drier have had at least on service visit, and now this Refrigerator. It's a dud

This refrigerator died after 3 years and was deemed irreparable by Bodewell (the same company as GE). It is not worth the appearance. It's sad to experience the quality of GE go downhill. Also important to note that it took over a month to schedule repair so not worth the service plan either.

Do not go for this Fridge

Unfortunately this is my second review on the fridge, my first delivered fridge had uneven doors and was told it was supposed to be like that then the delivers guy some how scratched the front door so deep silver was shining through the length of the door, so I get a replacement the unleveled doors are just a manufacturing problem per the Lowe’s delivery guy because the replacement fridge doors are not level as well, okay googled how to fix it and there others out there with the same problem so ...

Problems after two months with product and service

The freezer and beverage drawer have stopped maintaining temperature and everything is melting. Bodewell, the GE service provider, has outsourced to a company for this area. They haven't returned our service call after two days, so not only is GE's product useless so is their service. If you buy this fridge makes sure you buy a second one that is not GE so you have one that works when this one fails.

Piece of junk

Stopped working after 2 1/2 days and GE is unresponsive. Will never deal with them again

Like another reviewer stated below for 5,000 bucks you’d think this fridge would be white all the way around lol yes I should have realized this while online shopping however I was focused on the front and the black back is so ugly ugggg so for those who don’t do research like me beware the fridge is white and pretty in the front with a black box back which is my fault, so I have it delivered so it will be in perfect condition welllllllllllll that didn’t happen first thing I notice one door high...

The two guys were great and a perfect job

Both guys were very professional unloaded the refrigerator actually let me look at it and approve professionally bought it into the house without damage set up cleaned it up. Tell me about the refrigerator and what I needed to do and wish me a happy safe Fourth of July.

Big beautiful fridge

Cafe refrigerator is huge, lots of room for food storage. I like that the temperature is adjustable for different areas. The interior lighting is elegant but a little dark for my taste.

Great features - HORRIBLE ice maker!

This refrigerator looks great! It does have a lot of good features - spacious. The biggest draw-back is the external ice maker. IT SUCKS! The ice maker unit is too small and doesn't produce much ice - when it does - takes much longer to get it in a glass....sometimes no ice for the entire day. I am now looking into buying a good countertop ice maker. Irritating since we spent a fortune on all these appliances - and this is an issue that we deal with daily. i already see defects on the botto...

Poor performance

We have owned our Cafe fridge for almost 4 years. It worked perfectly for 3 years. Now it intermittently turns completely off. Compressor was showing failure. Replaced. System still doesn’t work. Our home is a new modern build and warranty tech is blaming it on home vs fixing / replacing . This was an expensive purchase. Everything else in our him works and electrical meets compliance / code.
