Ratings & Reviews for Cafe 24-in Top Control Built-in Dishwasher ( Stainless Steel ) , 48-Decibel

Don’t waste your money!

I have had this dishwasher for 1 1/2 years and it won’t run, it will not turn on. I am a single person who maybe runs the dishwasher twice a month, it should not need repairs so soon. I have a kitchen full of Cafe appliances that are on the newer end and they are already falling apart. I’ve had to have the refrigerator repaired already and now the dishwasher. Can’t wait for the day I can replace all of them with something better.

Looks great on the outside, garbage on the inside

We bought this thinking the Cafe series would be high end in a new kitchen. It was quiet and operational for about 3 months. The exterior is beautiful, but the internal design is terrible. The rack is very cheaply made and poorly designed. The rack rollers fall off if any minor side force is applied to the rack. The rollers tend to fall off and melt on the heating element. The spaying wands had components fly off within one year of use. I've replaced multiple components within one year of normal...

New purchase. First wash in progress!

A nice look and Wow, a quiet wash. Took a bit to install, but it fits perfect and no problems!

Good looks, poor performance

We loved how quiet it is and the sleek look but that is where it ends. We have had the dishwasher for about 2 years and we are a family of 2. Dishes do not come out consistently clean and I am a pre-rinse out of habit person. Does any dishwasher actually come out spotless? Unsure. What really sent me was the fact that it stopped working. Diagnostics are showing everything is in order but once I start a cycle it shuts off. Finding out that Cafe only offers a one-year warranty was disheartening. ...

Better than we do

Huge improvement over our last dishwasher. Very quiet and does a great job when we choose not to prescrub.

Quietest dishwasher, ever

This remarkable machine deserves a solid 5-star rating for its outstanding performance and impressive features. One of the most notable qualities of this dishwasher is its remarkably quiet operation. While working even nearby in the kitchen, I often find myself pleasantly surprised that I can’t even hear the machine running in the background. It allows for a peaceful and enjoyable home experience without any disruptive noise, creating a serene atmosphere. Beyond its whisper-quiet performan...

Fantastic

Easy to install. Super quiet. Looks very nice. Instructions are great

Great product

When I ordered this I was a bit nervous getting it site unseen. This is an amazing dishwasher! It is quiet and, go figure, it cleans the dishes!

Great features

We love this dishwasher! I wish we had done this sooner!

Nice and quiet!

I like this dishwasher. It's a little small but I think they all are now. It's quiet but the washing cycles seem to be so long.

Horrible dishwasher!

Please don’t waste your money with this dishwasher, worst one in the market, doesn’t clean dishes or anything else, GE technician left before fixed it, never come back, GE doesn’t care.

Please read it if you want this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Café™ Stainless Steel Interior Dishwasher is a ok option for any kitchen. The stainless steel interior gives it a sleek and modern look. The sanitization and ultra dry options are a great added feature for added peace of mind. However, I have found that it doesn't always do the best job of cleaning dishes, particularly those with heavy food residue. I've had to rewash certain dishes by hand after running them through the dishwasher. One thi...

Great product-but overpriced

This is a good product that is quiet, but sometimes leaves a greasy film still on dishes even with using a premier cleaning agent recommended such as cascade along with a rinsing agent. Difficulty in getting it connected to WIFI.

Disappointingly loud

Dishwasher works fine it’s just as loud as one that is 1/3 the price. At this level of appliance, I had better expectations. We can only run it overnight bc you can’t be in the kitchen when it’s running and have a conversation

Great features and functionality

The unit was easy to install and the manual, online resources and phone support was good.

GE Cafe Dishwasher-Love It!

The dishwasher is extremely quiet and easy to operate.

Not user friendly

not user friendly operation, racks are not well desineg for my use

Beautiful, but not cleaning dishes well

I love how my new dishwasher looks in my renovated kitchen! It's beautiful. However, I've noticed that my dishes aren't getting as clean as I'd like. My old washer did a better job for sure. I'm still playing around with the various settings to see if I can get things set up correctly, but so far not a lot of luck. I feel like I need to have the dishes rinsed off completely before putting them in the dishwasher.

Great dishwasher and pretty too

Not sure I needed it (my old one was throwing the breaker which I later found out was a broken electrical wire). But it's pretty, it's new, it's nice, does just a good a job as the old one. And I like the handle to hang a towel on (but .. didn't realize that it would block a drawer so I now have to open the dishwasher to access that drawer)
