Full of 8-10” pieces, you don’t get many long pieces

Perfect color

Very poor Quality

Boards are not milled correctly, 75 % of the boards are too narrow on one end and most are cracked. the stain color is inconsistent. Bruce flooring is not what is used to be.

It’s good

I purchased the flooring in the 2 1/4, 3 1/4, and 5 Inc widths to lay in a random pattern. The 5 inch was overall darker in color and not as shiney finished. Of the three the 3 1/4 had a lot more variance in the widths and had to be very careful not to get a piece that was wider by a 1/16 or more that caused a real problem in the next row. I would do it again but if doing all the same width would go 2 1/4 or 5.

It is beautiful and durable. I have had it for 10 years in other parts of the house.

Nice for the Price

I'm only writing this review because I'm a contractor who's installed many floors. These "defects" that people are complaining about are normal in ALL hardwood flooring. Oak is particularly prone to movement, so there would be some pieces that are crowned, or bowed, which if you don't know how to install flooring, would leave a gap. To avoid gaps from crowned planks, hammer a chisel into the subflooring at a 10-20 degree angle off perpendicular right up against the toung. Then use your chise...

Excellent Purchase

Beautiful wood flooring. The color is even more beautiful than pictured. I dont like that its exclusive to Lowes . Also its difficult to find a stairnose with the same thickness.

Poor Quality

This is by no means a complaint about Lowe's but about the hardwood flooring they sell made by Bruce. The store manager has been helpful through out the ordeal. I actually feel bad for the employees at Lowes for having to sell this product. The first order we received was so bad it was sent back and new product was ordered and delivered. Had a lot of short pieces but I used them in closets. I used nails only at 6" intervals and after 1 year, I realized I should have used glue and nails. Finish is holding up well but it's making a little noise

excellent quality

this wood flooring is excellent. strong and durable and thick. the top is smooth with i very nice finish. i was personally worried about scratches but even with install and kids i have yet to get a single scratch. love it.

Nice looking floor but the ends are not cut square

The boards are flat but most were warped which made installation difficult, they appeared to be machined warped because the ends are not flush/square, the dry season has augmented the warpage in the boards as the gaps open. Pictures from another customer showing the ends not flush is the same as what I have. The price is decent but don't be mad if it doesn't turn out perfect. I cannot recommend it only because of the visable ends not being square.

sticky situation

I think my particular style was removed from stock and is now considered a special order. I love the flooring, it’s sturdy and well made. Our problem lies with the transitional pieces, they have a hump which makes walking irregular and moving furniture problematic. It would be easier if that piece layed flat like the floor. Transition isn’t supposed to cause problems but ease them.

Good but some wastage

The product was good but almost one box out sixteen were unusable because of deformity and damage.

Beautiful and Durable

So far, so good. I love the quality of this product, and our installer loved the ease of installation. We have two dogs and two cats; we're pretty rough on floors but these look like they'll hold up just fine. The price-point was good (though not as good as last year) considering the current lumber shortage.

Good Quality Solid Oak Flooring

The random lengths allow for the installer to block out a varied pattern. Joints are milled well and fit together snugly, making a quality installation possible even for the armature homeowner.
