Ratings & Reviews for Broan 36 inch Convertible 300-CFM Black Under Cabinet Range Hood

A Solid Contender

The packaging looks much improved, no delivery damage like other reviews. Straightforward vented out install, be sure to add cord and HVAC tape to your list. Spec lights are now hard to find, went with LED and pulse slightly on low, but nice on high setting. The fan runs quiet, the filters are delicate but overall a very nice looking hood upgrade!

Met my expectations

Good looking. Works well with much better air flow than I had on my older hood. Found the installation instructions, however, confusing and not of much help too me

Before install

Purchased the 36 inch Broan glacier. Ordered through Lowes. There was one small dent on the side but you dont see it in the install. If your just swapping one out for another its a simple install. In my case, there was a large custom one I had to remove. Assuming that everything would line up was a mistake. I would suggest that you draw the outline on the wall and check to see if there are any hidden problems. In my case there was a studtoo close to the side of the vent. To center the ho...

No lights included

We had Lowes installed by a very nice young man, but there were no light bulbs included. Unfortunately Lowes does not sell the type that is needed for this hood. Will have to buy from Amazon

Looks and works nicely

This hood looks nice in my kitchen. My cupboards are not standard so the one man installation did not work out but we got it in and it works well. I went on line to find charcoal filters to fit but could not find this size; I'll be cutting some to fit above the filters provided.

A nice solid hood

The Broan 36-in Convertible Stainless Steel Undercabinet Range Hood is well built and has good installation instructions that come with it. Installation was easy and didn't take a lot of fancy tools. Operation is straight forward. I do wish that the Lowe's call-out for this hood mentioned that it required two halogen lamps to complete the installation. With the lamps installed, the light provided the range top is really bright.

36 Inch Range hood

This Rangehood fit perfectly over my smooth top stove. I absolutely love the dual light which cover the whole range. The quiet motor was an added plus. Thanks

A Lot of Air!

I honestly love the lighting on this range hood! The best thing about this range hood is the tremendous amount of pair this can move around! Good bye smoke and odors!!!

Pretty good in construction

The hood vent itself is pretty well made. The only throwback was that the instructions were small type and could have been better separated for the installation type than it was. I had a time discerning the items and places on the small instructions and had to read through to see which was actually me and my installation method. I guess they sell internationally since I had the same thing in three languages and threw away the other two. It operates very good and I started with the Halogen bulbs ...

Installation not what is presented on box

The box for this unit states that it is a one person, 30 minute install. For us, it was more like 3 hours. Also, our local store does not carry the 36" charcoal filters. Broan gave numbers to search it on the Lowes website that are not correct. I still don't have my filters. Very frustrating. Not recommending due to installation hassles.

Good Quality

This rangehood looks modern, easy to clean the lights are nice.

its pretty good

Received it, has a small dent in the middle top of hood and both filters are slightly dented.Did not come with light bulbs. But other than that it seems okay. Of course, the dents really have nothing to do with the manufacturer I guess, more so how it was stored in warehouse.

Very satisfied Quality Bright lights Strong fan

Very glad we got this range hood. Right out of the box it felt like a quality unit. The lights are very bright so great for seeing what I am cooking. The fan is strong. Overall a good quality unit and glad we got this one.
