LOVE MY BOSCH DISHWASHER!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned Bosch dishwashers for roughly 30 years. I have never needed a repair on them. My new one cleans my dishes perfectly, although you do need to let them cool off before removing them from the appliance. Our dishwasher is only 38 decibels and we never know when it is on. It is super quiet! My old Bosch allowed for a 30 minute cycle. The shortest cycle on this new Bosch is 1 hour but I guess it gets the dishes cleaner that way.

Good Unit - Installation Experience Horrible

The installer showed up late in the evening, more than 7 hours beyond estimated arrival. He said Lowe's keeps him very busy, and that was the best he could do. He rolled in the new unit from the garage, and declared that he could not install it because the supplied parts were incorrect. He left, and said someone would call to arrange to order the correct parts, and schedule a new installation date. That also never happened. I called the store. They didn't call back. After only a few months the door mechanism broke 3 times, the exact same thing kept breaking and the service technicians could not fix it. Finally the terrible customer service from Bosch reluctantly agreed to replace it. They only offered a lower priced model and would not upgrade me for the inconvenience or refund the difference in the model prices so I got to pay more for a lower quality product. WiFi on a dishwasher isn't easy to install

I do not recommend having your dishwasher require Wi-Fi installation prior to uploading to the Home Connect App. The app isn't user friendly, and I work in IT.

Plastic control panel lid hooks and breaks

The control panel plastic panel section hooks too far over and gets caught too easily. This causes it to break loose too easily with the buttons falling off.

DOES NOT DRY!!!

We paid extra for the “crystal dry” feature and have never had a dishwasher perform so poorly. The door is constantly dripping wet and if you wipe it down and leave it open to dry for a few hours, it will be covered in water once again in no time once you close the door. Control logic only a German engineer could love

I guess I didn't pay enough for a GOOD dishwasher. The "stainless steel" front is easily scratched using a nylon scrubby pad (found that out the hard way) and gets stains and fingerprints all over it just by looking at it. I live alone and it takes a long time for me to accumulate a full load of dishes, so having a "Rinse Only" option was a must. Unfortunately, the only way to access this option is via the HomeConnect app. The instructions for pairing the machine to the app are completely wrong....

The only thing I like is it is quite. Who designed the top rack for forks and silverware & knives? A complete waste of space OMG doesn't dry enough for my liking. I don't like the slant the dishes have to be on, what's wrong with straight up? Get someone else who has experience loading a dishwasher.

Great Dishwasher

We have owned a Bosch dishwasher in the past, and that's why we gravitated to the 500 series when the Whirlpool dishwasher died. This unit does a great job cleaning dishes and is really, really quiet when running. And it is simple to operate. Bosch racks are different, but after using a few times, you learn the best way to use them. You'll be surprised how much they will hold. Unbelievable bad design for controls

First impressions - ran on default setting and left overnight. Dishes were so wet as to be ludicrous. In 2025 no way that "not at all dried" should be a default setting. Ok, then I try to then figure out instructions to change setting to "intensive" drying. What a disaster. First you have to press a "button A" although there is no button A on the machine. it just goes on from there.
