I have built a few homes in the past. Now I'm building my retirement home and have always wanted a mid-century style house which will have Hardie Board lap siding. Every body says, "cut it with a skill-saw, get the special blade or use a razor knife to score and break the pieces". For my money use a jig saw with a great blade, medium speed, and the middle setting on the wobble is the best way to go. Quality Tool

I bought this jigsaw about 1 month ago after a lot of research. I have used it extensively and I am very pleased with the performance. Bosch produces excellent quality tools and so far this saw is no exception.

Purchased with a 10-pack of Bosch blades and a 2-pack of Spyder skeletonized blades a month ago. It's a joy to use with the tool-less blade change, variable speed, and ability to limit the maximum rpm. Cutting 1/4" birch plywood for top caps on kitchen cupboards turned out well. (Taping the cut lines to prevent splintering is a good tip.) I may use it later this winter to cut the frame on a wrecked Honda motorcycle as we build a static display to run the engine.

Great saw

Easy to change blade, does move dust away from blade area. Only improve on would be to add a light to the work area.

Great little saw!

I bought it specifically to cut a window on a metal building, I had tried with a rotary saw with a metal blade with very poor results. This Jigsaw was amazing I was able to cut 4 windows in record time. Dod not have any problems with the blade load as I had read in other reviews.

Cuts true and fast, easy to change the blade, should have replaced my old saw sooner.

All the power I needed

Bought it to cut through double thickness of 1x6 to make an arch--accomplished the task nearly effortlessly.

Poorly made

Other reviews about this unit's construction are correct. The blade went in and ejected fine, but I could tell it felt cheap, plastic parts, not finely machined. Then, on first use, I adjusted the speed control, and it fell apart. Will return. Got this as a backup to my old one. I'll try the Dewalt. Bosche, shame on you, lowering your standards like this and no longer deserving customer trust.

Great features very well made

I bought this jigsaw to replace one I had that wore out. Could not have made a better choice. This saw cuts through anything you got like butter. Really like how easy it is to insert or remove blades. Very well made. Bosch has a winner with this one.

Excellent Saw, Plenty of Power and Easy to control

I bought this to replace an very old and lower quality jigsaw. It is not a tool that I use often so I did not go for top of Delete repeated wordline but I was ready for a better tool than my previous entry level brand. I've used this saw a handful of times while modifying a closet shelf unit. The saw is plenty powerful, provides excellent control and it is smooth as silk. Works great for my rough cutting work

I bought this jig saw after using some super cheap jig saws with U shank blades. I love this one. Works great for the work i do. I mostly do rough cutting work

Do Everything

I use my jig saw for most anything around my house.

Bosch JS260

I've had the saw for a few months now. I've had other Bosch Jig Saws in the past as well. The JS260 performs very well, as do all the other Bosch power tools I currently have or have had. As far as I'm concerned Bosch is the best overall tool maker in the business!

The best jig saw I have ever used!!!

I have used other brands of quality jig saws and nothing compares to Bosch. I have a small cabinet shop and we keep one in the shop and one for installations. The Bosch jig saw is heavy duty and meant to be used everyday. I can get smooth clean cuts on pre-finished cabinetry and plywoods. I wouldn't trust any other saw to do this as you will get tear out and chipped edges. I use nothing but Bosch to get quality results.

Awesome saw!

My old saw died so I bought this brand at the suggestion of the Lowe's guy. I love it it has power to spare. It cut through metal like butter. The best feature is the quick blade change, No need for even a screwdriver.

Decent entry level saw

Good value on good brand name tool. We paid right around 72 bucks on sale. Will fulfill my needs for a long time.

I am a sculptor and this is my all time favorite jigsaw, my students have uded the two I bought 10 years ago consistently, and I have yet to order any parts.

Versital for many materials

Ive had mine for 5 plus years, I have used this on many different types of materials, with irregular shapes, the motors on these bosch motor, s are really great on heat, and vibration control. Ive put these through alot of heavy use, really worth the coin you may pay, for the extra comfort these saws are top shelf in my tool corral.

Great jig saw; just what I needed.

I finally gave up on my old B & D jig saw, did some research and settled on the Bosch JS260. For its price and its features, it's proven to be perfect for my needs so far. Equipped with new Bosch t shank blades, it cuts lovely circles in 3/4" plywood (bean bag toss boards), holding closely to my pencil lines. Nice storage case and obvious quality, I expect many years of use from this tool.
