What Customers Are Saying

The trimmer is considered lightweight and easy to use, with positive comments about its maneuverability and automatic string advance feature. However, there are mixed opinions on its performance and durability. Some users found the battery life disappointing, lasting only 20-30 minutes before needing a lengthy recharge. The automatic spool feed also caused issues for some, requiring manual line feeding. While suitable for light trimming tasks, the product may lack the power needed for heavier duty use, and there were reports of mechanical problems with the line feeder and cap.

don't waste your money

I am a 62 year old woman. I do all the edging and my husband mows the lawn. I had to finally replace an old trimmer and bought this based on reviews. When I picked it up in the store a guy in line told me how much I would like this. I was pretty excited! Two things I do like about it is it doesn't weigh much and it's cordless. I don't like the auto feed at all. It feels like I need more line to cut anything. It is not powerful. Took me forever to do my tiny yard. My scissors could do a better jo...

Not bad

Not bad trimmer for a battery one. Is lightweight that even a person with with problems will be able to use it. Battery does not discharge that fast. All depends how you use it.

Well engineered string trimmer

I have been using these B&D weedeaters for about 10 years now. They are the best buy on the market for light grass and weed trimming around an ordinary yard. They are very durable and use batteries sparingly. You can get the replacement trimmer line spools and generic replacement batteries on Amazon very cheaply. They are do very well at edging. Now if you have a lot of high grass or weeds they aren't the way to go. You will need a bigger motor and heavier string. Another thing I like is ...

Good value for the money

Would Recommend

This trimmer is perfect for my 1/3 acre and it does the job nicely. It's more reliable than my hard to start bigger gas trimmers. It will run about 15-20 minutes on a charge and can be recharged relatively quickly should you need to continue. Satisfied with the puchase.

This bad boy can do some damage!!! I wasn’t expecting the power this sucker puts out! Now, this model isn’t for heavy duty jobs, but for a small yard that always needs trimming...its right on the money. I haven’t even changed out the spool of string yet!! I love this thing!!!

Spool screw up when trying to edge

Would Not Recommend

Works great for weed eating. However, every time we try to edge with it, the spool comes unraveled and a big mess. Would not recommend it at all , if one wants to edge. No complaints about the weed eating, except my wife has a hard time getting the string to advance. She did not have this problem with the older one we had.

Automatic Feed Rarely Works

Would Not Recommend

Bought this item 2 months ago. I haven't had trouble with battery life, but the automatic feed is a joke. It rarely ever works. Even though B&D doesn't mention that you can still feed line by tapping the string container on the grass it appears that you can although I have had trouble with this as well.

Edger

Would Recommend

We wanted a trimmer/edger that could handle our yard which is not big, but I have a lot of sidewalk to edge. This does the job great, the only downside is I wish the battery lasted longer, but we will just have to get a second one.

Better buy at least one extra battery

Would Not Recommend

I have not even half an acre of land and this string trimmer will not do half my yard on one batter. When I first purchased this item, it worked well the first two times I used it and now the battery doesn't even last 10 minutes. I am, however, impressed with the light weight of it, but that is about the only thing I liked about it. Maybe I just received a bad battery, because all of the reviews I read before purchasing was good. But all in all, I was not impressed by this.

Not so great.

Would Not Recommend

I bought this about a month ago and it's just okay. The string is supposed to come out on it's own but it didn't. It had to be pulled out manually. I contacted customer service and they were amazing. They replaced it immediately. However, the new one does the same thing. It still doesn't work right. Also, the batteries have a very short life. There are a few good things about it. It is light weight and easy to use. It works well before the battery dies and you have to stop and manually pull out ...

Best Trimmer

Would Recommend

Have used this trimmer all year now on a .35 acre yard. 2 batteries does one 40 foot fence, around the entire house, one side of the garage, around the garden shed, 20 foot side walk, four trees and 20x10 porch. A 3rd battery will take care of a 100sq ft patch of grass I dont like to mow. I load one battery, put another in my pocket and off I go. I dont have to worry about gas or even finagling a cord around, just lock n load and trim. I have only one reason why this isnt 5 starts, while I have ...
