Would Not RecommendMy mistake for not reading the reviews first. NO LID. No resolution for getting a lid from Lowe's. As stated by previous reviewers, Lowe's answer to the problem is to call Behrens for a replacement lid...that Lowe's failed to ship in the first place. The half of an order is immediately going back. Doing an in person return since I don't trust Lowe's to get the return right. I can also second the reviews about poor packaging.

Not only durable, but also a special feature.
I bought this can a month ago to replace the plastic compost can that had been gnawed upon and opened three times by some animal. I was tired of doing the messy cleanup and hoed that metal would be more chew resistant. When I first used this can, I realized that I had gotten a bonus-the pail's handle locks the top on when it is in the upright position, so even if a critter knocks our can over, the top stays on. Very worth the cost, for me.

Perfect fit
Lid secures with a snap of the handle. Very good & perfect size so it's not too heavy when full of seed.

Great All Purpose Can
Would RecommendI have four of these containers and use them to store dog food and bones in the pantry, and garden supplies outside, and oh yeah… a small carry around trash can for weeds and clippings as I go through the yard. The ones that I bought years ago look as good as the one that I just bought recently. Great quality, great price, consistently made.
