Stands up to wind

I live in the Midwest and we get frequent wind storms in the spring, so I was looking for a pergola that can stand a high wind and snow load. Since putting this up almost every day we’ve had 20mph wind with gusts around 40mph. I’ve seen no movement or rattling during these windy days. Backyard Pergola

I completed this by myself. I used 6 lifetime picnic tables to build and slide around as I manueverd the pieces with ease. It toom me about 15 hours in total. It would have been nice to explain the tools added that were available for use.

Can NOT withstand high winds as advertised

The pergola was easy enough to assemble with clear instructions. Took 2 days to complete with 2 people. It does look very sleek and provides sufficient shade. But after having for a year, we’ve quickly realized the claim that it can withstand “100 mph winds” is simply not true at all. We’ve have two separate instances in our area where we’ve had 45-50 mph winds and it took no time for the pergola to shift and lean over. The 20x10 Sarasota Steel Louvered Pergola has been an outstanding addition to our backyard. Solid, sturdy, and sleek in appearance, it came with exceptionally detailed instructions and a helpful video that made assembly far easier. Yes, there are plenty of steps (and parts), but don’t let that intimidate you—everything is clearly labeled, and the directions are thoughtfully laid out. We’d absolutely purchase it again. Highly recommend.

Look for something else

Giving 2 stars mostly because customer service was responsive, but the Pergola itself is flawed. We installed in Summer of 2024 and were extremely impressed with the quality and ease of install. Everything was fine until after the winter months. I'm not sure if these don't handle snow load like they claim to or the quality is just not there but fast forward 10/11 months the Perolga is leaking and louvers are sagging, so much so that some have a small crack you can even see light trough. Bought this a month ago to finish our newly remodeled backyard and so far very pleased. It looks clean and seems well built, and was relatively straightforward to assemble. I would recommend this to family and friends in the future.

Easy set up!

The set up was easy, just took a few hours. Make sure to wear gloves if you're setting this up in the sun - the Metal gets HOTT! You'll need at least two persons, maybe a third to be the runner for you while installing the long slats. We've had so many compliments on this, it's a nice pergola!

Easy assembly and looks great!

I bought this Pergola approximately a month ago and last weekend assembled and put it up in a day and a half with a little bit of help when standing upright. Well made and easy to follow directions with assembly! Looks great and is a great addition to our backyard!

Beautiful. My friends put this together with no problem. There were no screws included to secure the pergola but otherwise they put it with no problem. Virtual customer was great. They were very patient while I asked various questions to make sure this was a good fit for us prior to purchase
