Sagging in the Middle

We purchased the 12x16 version, where the 16' side consists of two pieces joined by an internal beam. I was initially concerned about potential sagging, but we decided to proceed with building it due to the positive reviews and sturdy-looking support beam. Very sturdy

I love the pergola. I do not worry about wind storms as it is super heavy and anchored to my concrete patio. The tarp could have been a bit longer/larger (see photo) and strapping system designed better. I had to take mine to a shoe shop to get the trap sewn back on after a wind storm so I had all corners’ sewing reinforced. Other than that, it deserves a 5-star rating. It’s metal and will last forever.

14X10 Trenton Pergola - Very Happy

We purchased and installed this pergola earlier this summer. It was not difficult to assemble and install. The legs are secured to blocking material I added to the joists below the deck boards. It is not going anywhere. We are very pleased with our purchase. The pergola has really improved our outdoor living space. If you are thinking about buying one you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful addition to our backyard!

We have been looking for a pergola for sometime. Happen to see Backyard Discovery on social media and did not hesitate to purchase the perfect pergola. We are so happy with our pergola and we love it!

5 people, two ladders, and 5 hours. That's what it took to assemble this wonderful addition to our property. Make sure to thoroughly read the instructions prior to building. Then, determine which parts need to be assembled. We had 2 people doing the pre-assembly, providing each part in a Just-In-Time fashion. 2 of us were on ladders and the fifth person assisted them. Seems to be quality product, time will tell

We bought this one based on reviews and looking at lesser quality products in stores. I like the wide legs, black color option and overall appearance. Assembly took some time but we were patient and did not rush. Instructions were misleading in one area and we had to figure it out ourselves but I’m handy and it was not a big deal. Hopefully it holds up well and we get years of use from it.

Great pergola

I’ve had this up for a few weeks and all my visitors to the pool love it. If you take your time and really follow the directions it’s easy to put up. Of course you need 2 people at least for the install, 3 is even better. You can do a lot of prefabrication in a garage or barn. The steel is well coated and heavy to suit its application.

Clear visual instructions with the ability to repeat/rewind. Very well demonstrated. With some pre-assembly, this project should be relatively easy to do with 3 people needed at the lifting of the joist section.

Purchased this over the winter and put it up last weekend. All parts were included and the instructions we spot on. Took four of us a day to install. Great Product.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful!!

I got this a couple months ago and it set outside until we could get it put up when we opened the box the directions fell apart so we downloaded the app. This app was amazing it went step by step you could move the picture to see where things went and where it went. When I saw all the pieces I was a little worried it was going to be more then we could handle but it was so easy. It took 3 people and we had it done In about 6 hours. Very well made! Great-looking, sturdy and easy to assemble pergola

Sleek, modern, exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I put this together in about 7 hours total - this included some pre-assembly of the beams. It pays to read through the instructions, organize and pre-asssemble your bolts and washers before the full-on build. That took about 2 hours total. It took us about 5 hours to erect it in place on our patio which included screwing it into concrete blocks we placed inside of planters. You should note the interior height... it was too low f...

I just purchased this and assembled in 2 days. Now I've got all my neighbors wanting me to hangout and cook them dinner so we can hang out in my backyard.

Best looking pergola

The instructions to build the pergola were pretty straightforward. Took two people to build it six hours. The modern look goes well with our house. I would suggest this pergola to everyone!

Easy to assemble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this pergola. It was fairly easy to put together ourselves and with the right tools. It is sturdy and the quality is great! The only thing we don’t like is that the soft canopy shrunk in the sun, so we will need to look at replacing it.

Love our Pergola!

It took a couple of days to get it up, but it won’t be going anywhere unless there’s a Cat 5 Hurricane. We live in NW Florida and had to make sure what we got wasn’t going anywhere.
