Would RecommendQuick and easy to install. Post box alignment and mounting holes must be a standardized setup. Three plastic "mount plate" pins just popped into the alignment holes and the mounting ferulle locks it into place.

Missing Screw & Nut
Would Not RecommendThis kit calls for a 8 x 3/4 machine screw and nut but it’s not included in the package! The screw and nut is what’s going to hold this replacement mailbox flag in place! Why not just include it in the package?! That would cost Lowe’s another $0.05 to include that in the package!

Would Not RecommendI had to rig this because the plastic 'hardware' wouldn't hold. I had to use a bolt and a washer to secure it in place. Unfortunately, the cheap plastic flag holder is warped. I doubt if this product will last six months. I recommend that buyers opt for a metal flag with metal hardware.

Installation was a little more involved than I had imagined. I installed it on a homemade mailbox that I built from leftover 2x4s and I had to use the included template for the screw holes placement, plus drill an extra hole in the center of the flag retaining pin to keep the flag itself in place. I finally realized that this is a replacement flag assembly for a common plastic mailbox.
