BAD LOCK AND KEYS SYSTEMS

I really liked the style of this mailbox. It has a large enough area to put mail in and has a little clip to hold outgoing mail for the postman to pick up. It is secure, in that you can't reach your hand in to get mail out. However, the lock is horrible. Metal is too thin!

Since we live in a rural area, with our home about a mile away from all of the mailboxes, I decided to buy a locking mailbox. Use Lock De-icer to fix locks

Could barely open front and back locks after minutes of struggling. Read reviews recommending graphite and WD-40. Used Lock De-icer on both locks. Both locks now open on the first turn and the key slides right into the locks

Size and security options are perfect. Great if you're on vacation, don't like to collect mail daily, and be able to open the box from the back.

Fantastic mailbox,

Just installed this today, solid as a rock. easy installation and I love how sturdy it is! I only worry the opening in which they load the mail is a little small for putting packages through. Because of the before mentioned I still give a five star rating!

Great Mailbox

Mailbox was in great condition out of box and very securely crafted. Dual opening ports, front side or back side. Great locking mechanism, but key insert is a little too rough, have to work it a little. Does not come with install hardware reccomend getting nuts and bolts to secure it to the post properly. Lag screws work ok also, easier if you pre-drill a pilot hole first but could be difficult having to work inside the mailbox. Overall great secure mailbox.

Very sturdy

This is a very sturdy mailbox. It is easy to mount on any existing post you already have. It is heavy duty and durable The locks are strong and will keep anybody from getting your mail.

Secure mail

Needed secure mailbox after a couple packages went missing from old mailbox, less worry about checking box everyday since it is not located close to our house.

New locking mailbox

After too many neighborhood mailbox prowls, we decided to switch to a locking box. This box seems rugged enough to stop the average prowler away. It is not heavy enough to stop a determined thief with a screwdriver, who could pry it open, but that's actually pretty rare & I am not sure how much better the more expensive boxes would come out in that situation. Overall, content with our purchase. The only disadvantage is walking down to our mailbox & realizing you didn't bring a key.

Locking mailbox

Anchorage is have horrible problems with US mail being stolen from street mailboxes. We are forced to buy this superb strong locking mailbox. Heavy metal with keys to open the back foot to retrieve our mail & a limited space flap to be opened by USPS for delivery. Delivery door allows for large (8x14”) envelops & pkgs, magazines & catalogs. Boxes are forced to be delivered to the front door YEAH!

Hardware NOT included

I would have given it 5 stars, but it doesn't come with screws or washers or mounting hardware of any kind. (I'm sure it says it somewhere in the description, but I didn't read that closely) other than that, it is sturdy and secure. Overall a good product for the price
