Poor deterrent to rain

Mounted on side of house, with some protection provided by eave of the roof. Almost every single time it rains mail gets wet. This would be excellent box if it was under more protection, But being mostly exposed shows its design flaw for keeping moisture out. Used for about 10 months, and now will be buying something that provides better protection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Whitman mailbox is great! Good quality. Love that you can lock it. That’s the best feature! Easy to hang. Only thing is that I wish the slot was a bit wider to fit the very small packages like you can a regular box, but it doesn’t. I make crafts out of my home and I use it for my regular customers to drop their payment. Easy peezy.

Nice mailbox

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Whitman Black Wall-Mounted Mailbox has come in quite handy. I easily mounted it to the wall next to my office door so employees can drop off reports, paperwork, etc. I like that it can take large envelops through the slot and they’re secure. No privacy issues! The mailbox is good quality with a decent lock. I definitely recommend this mailbox.

It is very sturdy, and the slot accomodates magazines and other mailed items with ease. I also love the indicator to inform whether is locked or unlocked. This is a very well made product.

Great simple mailbox

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a perfect fit for our front gate. We have a wire fence that lines the front of our property / the street. This attached nicely to the gate and the low profile blends nicely. The lock is sturdy and safe too

Nice Mailbox!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the Whitman Wall-Mounted Mailbox in Black. It was really easy to mount. All I needed was a level, drill and bits, and a screwdriver. The directions are easy to follow and it only took about 25 minutes to hang. It comes with two keys so that my wife and I each have one. It also has a safety feature on the lock that shows red when it is locked and green when it is unlocked. The mailbox is well made has plenty of space for our mail. ...

Does the job inexpensively

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks nice & sharp installed, but isn't made of very heavy materials, so isn't going to take a lot of abuse. Top flap of mine came slightly bent, but I was able to shape it back & you can't really tell. Also was a paint chip on the edge of the flap that I'll probably have to touch up with paint to keep it from rusting. Great mailbox

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chosed this Whitman mailbox because of its wide and long frame. I receive magazines and large envelopes in the mail often. This mailbox makes me feel more safe, because I don't have to worry about people stealing my mail. This locked mailbox is easy to open with my small key and close. The camera is one of the best features on this mailbox.

Safe and secure

There is ample space for letters along with magazines. The box keeps items dry and it is good to know , if I am away all day, the mail will be there waiting for me.

This box is already pre-drilled, the hardware is included. It will be hard for rain to enter. The directions are easy to understand.

I'm very glad I did. I had no problem installing it by myself, although it would have helped if someone had been around to hold it for me (but I was in a hurry).
