Good water heater

I got this a few weeks ago install was easy and with in an hour had hot water. We can run the washer and still have enough hot water to take a shower without a drop in temperature. Thos is well with the price.

Water Heater installation was quick and easy

This was not a pickup. Installation INcomplete

In the past I bought a clothes washer, a dryer, a dishwasher and a refrigerator over the years from Lowes. But in December of 2005 I bought a water heater. The guy at Lowes that helped me pick it out said he could install it. But the next day I changed my purchase to Lowes installation. No returns unless leaking water

This water heater was purchased brand new on a Sunday, professionally installed, and did not work from day one. This was in a rental property, and the guests had already been without hot water for nearly a week. We could not reasonably wait to call for an RA number, schedule another professional, pay them again to replace parts, and then hope that fixed a brand-new water heater. Good value

Only one item on the unit I would change, the drain valve is plastic, need to be steel or brass. The first one I purchased was broken, had to exchange it. Installation went well. Installed an expansion tank at the same time. All install a pressure reduction valve to the main incoming line before installation. Set both main line and expansion tank to 55psi.

great basic heater

this is my second one and it lasted 6 years. we are on a well with acidic water so 6 years is pretty good for this area.

Just Installed... HOW Can I Rate the Product?

Pick-Up Was Timely and Painless. Self Installation was without any problems. Just filling the tank before turning on the Water Heater... I'll let you know how it goes from here.

Quick, Quiet, Efficient

I have personally installed hot water heaters before in other homes we owned and I've always used AOSmith. These newer models are awesome, it heated the water VERY quickly with no noise (I assume due to the thicker insulation) and is very efficient at maintaining the set water temp. Recommendations; before installing research and follow instructions and for hardest part plan how you're going to dipose of the old one which is much heavier due to sediment.

We replaced this AO Smith hot water heater with an AO Smith that was 23 years old. That said, it sems like a brand to be trusted. We hope this new one lasts as long.
