Ratings & Reviews for allen + roth Brayden 21.63-in Matte black Traditional Outdoor Light post lantern

It beautiful light

Like everything, easy to install

Well constructed

I bought this lamp to replace an existing unit. It fit perfectly, was well built and connected easily.

perfect fit

wasn't too sure what I wanted ,but this one the perfect choice! EZ to install and great amount of light !!

One of the 2 light sockets was bad

I had to return it and get another one because one of the two sockets was bad.

Beautiful fixture!

We love our new Portfolio post light! The fixture is beautiful with beveled glass and matches our existing fixtures on the garage and porch. The installation was straightforward once the wiring and post were in place. We put bright LED bulbs in ours and love having the light in the yard. It has been through a winter now and still looks great.

I would have awarded five stars for the product, but I had to exchange my initial purchase because it was missing parts. Otherwise, the light is very attractive and good quality for the price.

Heavy condensation during rainy days

Nice look, easy installation. However the condensation ruins it. It’s annoying to deal with installation only to find out this problem.

4 out of 4 were broken

Checked a total of 4 light fixtures, all broken. 3 had damage to the glass and the 4th one had a joint broken which made it so only electrical wires were securing the lid closed.

Post Light

Easy to install Two 25 watt bulbs is appropriate Nice appearance Great price

Can’t change the bulb

Bought this to match a replacement but have been disappointed since day one. The light fogs up at night and in the morning. Can’t figure out where opening is. Have a bulb that burned out but can’t get the finial to open up the unit. Not sure how to change bulb at this point. Tried to contact company during pandemic but no answer. Highly disappointed in this product.

Bulb socket piece split in half

You get what you pay for I suppose. The socket that holds the bulb in place split in half when I twisted the bulb into place. Really cheaply made. Poor quality product.

Excellent post lamp.

This post lamp was an exact replacement for my original, which was worn out after 15 years.

Rust in less than a year

Looks great, but there's rust and it hasn't been a year. We installed in December. Too expensive for what it looks like 1 year later. We live in the Los Angeles area, so minimal rain, mostly sprinklers if that.

Beautiful but poorly made

The light is beautiful and was just what I wanted until I started assembling it. Very simple assembly steps. However, the parts were not made properly. The center stem had to be forced up thru the fixture hood assembly (even had to put grease on it) so the finial could be put on. When I started screwing the finial on it turned the entire stem which in turn moved the base of the lamp bulbs and left them crooked. Trying to replace bulbs will be a major challenge since trying to remove the fin...

Looks good but won’t last

Purchased 5 years ago. Was ok, but quickly faded, rusted, and needs replaced. Light bulbs burn out frequently. Invest more $ for better quality.

Light fixture

Fit perfectly!Replaced a 15 year old fixture that failed
