Prefer a cut to size rod
Would Not RecommendPrefer a longer rod I can cut and then slip on the end cap. Having two thicknesses of rod, required for expandable sizes, is less attractive and looks cheap and fake. Also, the one piece mounting brackets are difficult to work with due to the hole and slot placements and not being two piece, adjustable length from the wall, mounting hardware.

Flimsy Middle Rod with Poor Hardware
Would Not RecommendThe rod looks good, but the ends are plastic and the hardware is not good. Pound in anchors supplied did not work as intended. We installing with drywall screws. The center rod does not lock so when installing, this lends itself to coming apart in 2 locations for long runs. One of the locking set screws could not be tightened buy hand so we needed an allen wrench screw driver to set properly. If you are close to maximum length with heavy or long curtains would not recommend this product.
