Purchased this heater one year ago. Easy to install and works great. I read you were to replace heating element every year. Well I purchased a universal heating element at Lowe's and it wasn't even beginning to be the proper one. We have a water softener so element looked good so I put it back together. WHAT A PAIN. It is mow leaking out the bottom and relief valve won't completely shut off. Did I mention pain when putting back together. I'll probably purchase another one as it works great in ...

The tank is great, short cord! Don't buy the installation kit for $40 dollars, it's not what you need anyway! I put this under a utility sink with a dual faucet. You need a "T" valve 3/8" to get water into the tank and to the faucet. The "kit' did not have this "T" valve, so on my 3rd trip to Lowes, I was able to get what I needed for the installation. Yes, all products had been moved in my local Lowes store! Yes, I still have to return the installation "kit" that was recommended for this produc...

Don't buy

Installed it and it's leaking around the pressure valve. Water stays hot for 30 seconds. Very bad product. I'd rather carry water from a fireplace than deal with this water heater

Do not waster your time

Purchased this at Lowe’s. Brought it home, hooked it up the pressure release valve leaked. Tightened it a little bit more still leaked. Took it back to Lowe’s thinking we had a faulty one and purchased the same one again. Should’ve been our first clue. Installed that one and it’s still leaked. Called customer service on this product and they suggest we change out the pressure release valve. Went back to Lowe’s purchased that install installed it and it still leaks. Running away don’t walk.
