Bought new 16 months ago. 5 repairs done since. Belt, rollers, fan, motor and still sounds like a thumping jet!

Dryer review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wish there was an actual Owners Manual. Can’t hear the “chime” when it is done & can’t find out if there is a way to increase the volume for it. Also, no extended tumble. Very low to the ground - hard to retrieve items in the dryer or put a basket underneath the door.

Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well on regular clothes and towels, but struggles with large comforters. Even on the bulky setting, the comforter often comes out damp and I have to use Timed Dry to finish it, which takes extra time. Good for everyday laundry, but not great for big, heavy items.

Problems from day one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first load of clothes and the dryer made ticking sound and now waiting on new parts for a new dryer and the buzzer is so low you can’t hear it when the clothes are finished. No book was given at purchase either.

I hate this dryer

My life has been miserable since my parents bought this dryer. The timer is inaccurate, and the only setting that dries clothes is "timed dry" the normal settings don’t work. Yesterday, I wanted to finish all my laundry before school starts. I dried my hoodies first, then started a load in the washer. Now I have wet clothes in both the washer and dryer because, after switching loads, the dryer broke. When I press start, it just makes two clicks and does nothing.

this product has failed me not once but twice in 2.5 years and rendering it completely inoperable and all whirlpool is offering is a 20% discount. Regardless of product warranty or extended warranty this is unacceptable for such a big ticket purchase item. I reconsidering buying another Whirlpool after this and them being "capped" at 20%

Highly disappointed

Have had this dryer barely 2 years and the motor has gone bad already and apparently cost half of what the dryer cost to repair it! Why does Whirlpool only warranty their products for 1 year? Maybe because they don't believe in their own products!?
