Much better display, easy to program, easy to inst

Unit works much better than the old one. Very quiet

Not homeowner install friendly

Water connections on unit are 1 inch, standard household plumbing is 3/4 or 1/2, reducing fitting should be included with unit. Drain line fitting 1/4NPT x 1/2 inch tube, was not able to be sourced at local hardware or CTC store. Installation not home owner friendly, based on these ie non standard fittings found at your local store.

Great quality product

Purchased this a month ago, replacing a 12 year old softener that wasn’t working efficiently anymore. Simple DIY install. The set up and programming was easy to navigate through. Have your water tested before to get the hardness GPG to properly size softener. The maintenance looks fairly simple having the cleanser to properly maintain the softener keeping it operating efficient. After reading lots of reviews and doing research on other makes this came in at the top pick. A great quality product....

Easy replacement installation.

This unit was to replace a similar 16yr old Whirlpool softener. Installation was relatively simple EXCEPT the measurement of the old and new by-pass valve differed by 1/4”, which required some additional plumbing adaptations. Not a big problem.

Clean water

After one month of installation, glasses are coming out of the dishwasher sparkling clean. Water is definitely softer and no more rings in the toilet.

We’ve been using it for 2 weeks and are extremely satisfied with it. Easy to install and operate. Hardly makes any noise and doesn’t seem to use much salt. TY Whirlpool for making this great water 💦 softener.

Great Product

I've only had my new water softener installed for a couple of weeks BUT I'm already feeling (and seeing) a difference ... Toilet and tub are looking cleaner longer and my skin isn't feeling dry like it use to ... Loving the change I'm experiencing!!!

Good Unit, but warranty not so much

Purchased a new water softener yesterday to replace the same model that was purchased a little over 5 years ago. the drive motor failed and stripped the gears a month and several days out of warranty. Used the proper cleaning product for this unit, as instructed, which was suppose to extend the warranty but apparently not, as got no help in the matter.

Easy Setup!

My only complaint thus far with this system is it was missing 2 of the connectors in the box for install. With living out of town and being mid install this was a slight inconvenience

Encountered service error after one month

Bought this one month ago. Worked fine for 3 weeks and encountered a service error we couldnt resolve. Will exchange for the same thing as I have had whirlpool before and they've lasted for years.

Runs great, salt usage is low, unit is quiet

We have been running this unit for four weeks now, and we're very pleased. Old unit was from the 1970s: no sensor, only a timer, used a lot of water and salt. This is a huge improvement. // Had a professional plumber do the installation, mainly because the in/out plumbing in our house was reversed (left/right) from this unit. Shampoo and soap usage basically cut in half since installation and first cycle. Also washing machine and dishwasher run more efficiently.

Questionable

The unit itself works great. Disgusted with the non stop salt bridge and sludge. I have to try and stir the salt at least once and week and that still doesn't prevent salt bridges and salt mush. This causes.then system to not soften water ( rust stains, dirty dishes and orange hair) . It is a battle that I am getting so tired of (3 years) I cant afford a new different unit. . I bought this unit because it was an all in one unit. Having a salt deck/ grid in the tank would probably help. I can't ...

I'm having issues with the softener not filling with water during a recharge. Not consistent.

Good unit. Very happy with it.

I purchased this unit a month ago and installed it. I have very hard water form a well with the additional problem of clearwater iron. I have the hardness set to 45 and the CLEAN function set to 10 minutes. So far the unit is working well and my water is much improved. The only complaint I could have is the display is not lighted and hard to read leading to possible mistakes during setup.

Excellent product

Just purchase the softener a week ago/ love the product. Only thing that quite a hassle is running around to buy the lines connecting to the bypass valve and expensive. Manufacture should include it to the package.

Poor quality

2 years worked well. Overnight the resin tank neck broke itself and water poured freely on the floor . This was a structural defect as the fiberglass stops right by the groove of the neck .

Simple install

Just bought very simple install only took 2hrs it took longer to.remove the.old one

Poor instructions

No owners manual or instruction manual!not able to get in touch with wirrlpool!

Works as advertised

Easy to install and works based on consumption. Provided noticable softening within hours.

I bought this water softener three weeks ago just install it two days ago and I’m very happy with it
