What Customers Are Saying
The pressure reducing valve effectively lowers high water pressure, typically from around 84 psi down to 50-60 psi, which helps prevent issues like water pipe banging and damage to plumbing fixtures. Many customers found the valve easy to install, with a direct fit replacement. However, some experienced issues such as loud noises, leaks, and quality control problems with defective or ill-fitting parts. While most were satisfied with the valve's performance and value, long-term durability appears to be a concern for some users.

Would RecommendThe 3/4-in MNPT Copper Pressure Reducing Valve is a reliable and well-built component for controlling water pressure in a plumbing system. Installation was straightforward, and the threaded connections fit securely without any issues. Once installed, the valve did a great job regulating the incoming water pressure and keeping it at a consistent, safe level. The copper construction feels durable and high quality, which gives confidence that it will hold up well over time. This is a great option...
Works to keep the water pressure stable
Would RecommendI was in need of a pressure regulator to keep the water pressure in my house stable. This Regulator does just that. It seams well made and it was easy to install, I liked the adjustability and the line installation options were acceptable.

Loud noise when Flushing Toilet
Would RecommendWe’ve had a loud banging noise every time we flushed our toilet for months now. Looked up what could stop the noise and this product was a lifesaver! Easy to install and noise went away. Highly recommend.
Switch to a higher quality PRV
Would Not RecommendNoticed a hum that could be heard every time I ran water. Turns out the components in this PRV were resonating with the pipes which caused the humming. Switching to the Zurn Wilkins 34-NR3XLDU 3/4" NR3XL fixed the issue. If you're having the same issue consider switching to a higher quality PRV.
Compare with pressure limits.

Smooth Online Ordering
Would RecommendAfter I went through a really smooth online ordering process, for pickup at the Harriman Tn location. It was within the hour that I had confirmation it was ready for pickup. The pick up process was as smooth as 123. That's how I enjoy shopping with Lowe's.
Squeals Loudly
Would Not RecommendPoorly designed. Squeals very loud. Online help advises to stop squeal increase pressure 5-10 PSI. REALLY! Tried, but it only changed the pitch of the squeal.
This fixed the odd wooshing noise we had and was a perfect fit to replace the discontinued Watts N35B regulator.

Easier replacement than expected
Watts recommended this PRV model to replace model N35B, which wore out after 25 years. After watching a few videos, I attempted the replacement with two tools: pipe wrench to hold the PRV in place and channel-lock pliers to turn the bolts. Didn't need the bolts in the box because I re-used the old ones, but I did need two rubber o-rings, one supplied in the box and one reused, to seal the new PRV. It took about an hour to finish the job and adjust the water pressure to 60 psi with a water pressu...
Check the box for all of the parts
Would RecommendI bought two. One of them was missing parts. I did not have time to return the item so I had to spend more effort plumbing around the missing part.

I'm not sure which parts were missing but, LFN45BM1-U would only include one union connection. A DU would be a double union valve.
